I’m not one for frills and fripperies but I do love a nice frock. This is so much better than the skintight scratchy fussy ones worn by many celebs.

What a pretty dress Joseanne - I only wish I had legs ? for a dress - mine are like matchsticks ?

Same here but I can get away with a maxi, although as I’m tall they are often mid calf!

I don't think it's a famous designer, Blossoming
Sid Green?
I might give it to one of the DD!

Ooh! Sid Greene of London appears on a few vintage dress sites.

She’s done it again! I love this dress too.

Elegant and understated. Just lovely.

I beg his pardon

Not just Sid Green - Sid Greene with an 'e'!

Pretty dress. The stripe panel at the sides is unusual but flattering.

I think she looks lovely! Classy and understated

Sophie and the children were on the same flight as us a few years ago. They took their places and acted as any other well-behaved person would in public, no fuss or bother. Sophie is very beautiful and elegant and came over as very serene, almost ethereal.

Speaking of royals, yesterday a friend on holiday in Spain bumped into the king and queen of Spain. She said they shook hands and were very friendly and chatty.

19 years ago myself an my husband were on a flight to St Petersburg, Russia and in the row in front of us was Prince & Princess Michael of Kent who were very smiley and chatty. We then found out they were in our hotel and saw them most days around the reception area/lifts etc. They were accompanied at all times with, I suppose what is called, Royal aides but were very open with everyone.
What a lovely couple.

Just seen this photo, absolutely beautiful

Apart from the shoes which look a bit clunky. Otherwise she looks lovely. Hot by the look of it.

I would like those shoes. Very practical and comfortable with a bit of glamour. I expect she has to spend a lot of time on her feet.

Lovely shoes! Is she really only 5ft 4in as she looks quite tall. I suppose heels help but I know I couldn't wear such long dresses. I wish!

I think I read that they were Jimmy Choo so must have cost a fortune.

Jimmy Choo Dovina 100. -£475. She’s worn them a lot, they aren’t new for this visit. I like them, they look really comfortable.

£65 in M&S

There was an article online about Sophie’s style in the Torygraph yesterday. Many of her outfits are from mid-price ranges such as ME+EM, where dresses start at about £125 and the most expensive is £295. Certainly not the cheapest clothing out there but a great deal less than £38,000!

Grammygrammy the Laura Ashley/Prairie/Cottage Core look is very ‘in’ now! I never thought I’d see my dd in such attire but she’s embraced the look. grin

Kaleidoscope £45

Her style is so accessible and you can get the look whilst spending less.

Everyone made fun of Edwards It’s a Royal knockout but I thought it was a good attempt to drag the royals into the modern age.

He’s been laughed at for several things, but I admire that he had the courage to try the marines, and the even greater courage to admit it wasn’t for him. He’s followed his heart on a few occasions, some successful and some not, so good for him. (I’m a republican, btw!)

I think their daughter is lovely.

I have a feeling Lady Louise won't become a clothes horse like some royals because her main interest is in carriage driving for which she shows a passion. She dresses with style but isn't showy.
I believe her mum said she is bright too, (currently during A levels), but that they wouldn't force her to go to university. Whatever, I hope the media leave her alone.
