Tanning tips/recommendations for "old" white legs!

I've bought a really nice dress which is described as midi. I would have liked it slightly longer but hey ho. I have very white/bluey legs (not my best feature). I'm going to need to put something on them so that they don't look so pale. So many different products in Boots that I'm totally confused. Has anyone got any recommendations that are easy to apply and cover up mistakes please. Quite happy with "wash off".

I find Garnier Summer Body very good for a gradual tan. Because of lumpy varicose veins I wear leggings with midi dresses or stick with maxis or wide leg trousers.

How reassuring to hear that I am not the only one who has problems with my legs. Medication and older age means I have horrid varicose veins, thread veins, you name it, I have it! I noticed blue bruising on my feet the other day, not the look I want when I go to Center Parc with the grandchildren. My mum was the same, and she and I both have/had fair skin which burns in no time in the sun. Your very helpful suggestions will accompany me to Boots tomorrow, thank you all so much. P.S. I have used Dermablend to cover the bruising, they make leg make-up which is quite heavy but does the job and dries well, just looks rather dry and strange! thanks
