Men in shorts

Does your DH wear shorts almost all the time ? I see so many men these days in shorts of all lengths. Even in quite formal occasions , like being on TV , they still wear them . Is is because they are comfortable , cheap or what. I saw a man to-day with the longest long white skinny legs in shorts shopping and them he went into a lovely old classic car. Have to add my DH does not ever wear shorts ( no legs for them ) but my neighbour, who spends long spells in the Canaries, tells me her DH never has his trousers on when there. It always makes me smile .

I think Michael looks fine and wouldn’t expect anything less of him.
I don’t mind a man in shorts, if the shorts are baggy and the man goes commando they get a nice bit of air around their nethers.

Michael Eavis is the most famous man in Somerset.

He is an 86 year old dairy farmer who founded the Glastonbury Festival in 1970. His recently commissioned portrait in the National Portrait Gallery shows Michael in his shorts in front of the pyramid stage. He wears shorts all year round

TH only wears shorts around the house and garden with bare feet. He has long athletic legs but wears chinos or jeans outside the house. He likes to be smart.

My husband and son wear shorts a lot of the time in Summer, but not all year round, brrrr!
Anyone can wear shorts if they want to, and should not worry about their legs.I keep cool in a loose dress.

My other half stretches the short wearing year out as long as humanly possible. He lives in casual and when he retired sent all his work suits, shirts and ties to a charity in London that lends clothes to homeless people who are trying to get jobs. He's a scruffy loveable fella.

Sometimes there are only a few days a year when he's in trousers. He has great legs...but I would say that wouldn't I.

My son, son in law, grandsons all wear shorts most of the year-yes, even in winter! They tend to be shorts of the Bear Grylls variety and are worn with Merrells (or similar walking type shoes) and hidden socks. It’s actually a bit surprising when they appear in trousers for school/work! I don’t know if being rufty tufty rugby players has anything to do with it. DH doesn’t like his legs in shorts but does have a couple of pairs for holidays. He prefers the 3/4 cut off look again with walking type shoes/trainers.

We have a neighbour who wears starched shorts with socks and sandals winter and summer .
He's not exactly an Adonis being very short , pale , flabby and fat .
And he also has a clip board and makes observations about everything in the street .
He records every visitor and car number .
It's a very useful neighbourhood watch though I think that he's breaking the law . Some neighbours feel spied on .

If only he had a recording device to hear the comments about his attire !

My OH wears shorts when it’s hot and he has skinny pins.
A friend of his told him he’d seen better legs hanging out of a heron’s nest ?

In the 70s I worked with some Australians who turned up to teach in shorts in the summer. It was a bit of a shock for all of us but they looked good. Now I don't mind men in shorts. I ignore the awful ones and admire the ones with nice tanned legs.

My DH wears shorts in the summer. His legs are a light tan and not a bad shape. I think he looks nice in them.

Our Australian son in law and our adult grandsons wear them most of the time, of course.

Casdon - Appearance wise just like Captain Mainwaring and character - wise rather like Martin Bryce in Ever Decreasing Circles .
The irony - he is very similar to the complete lunatic , who spied on me and the rest of the street and used to phone up the council weekly at my last house !
I'm scared of men in shorts !

Mr A wears shorts all Summer long during the day if it's warm, but puts trousers on if we are going somewhere in the evening. With his shorts he wears either Toms or walking sandals and a lightweight short-sleeve shirt.

Some men around here appear to not possess any trousers, they wear shorts even through the Winter.

Nearly all the blokes wear them here in Summer. Some in Winter and all the year round.

Men like women should be free to wear what they like when they like, but just accept that if they wear clothes, and it extends beyond just shorts, that really make them look awful, people may comment on what they are wearing.
