Am 60 next month. Sick to death of my long hair. Had it short for years then COVID growth did its thing.

Me in the pic with long hair and then a model with the short hair I’d love. Can my ageing face and jawline take short bob hair at 60?

Advice welcome or I’ll be 80 with long scraggly hair!!!

I love unruly hair AuntieElenorscat, to my hairdressers despair first thing I do after it’s dried is muss it all up ! Don’t like a parting as you can see?

Hi AuntieEleanorscat .
Poor you .

I think that you are run down .
Take a vitamin supplement even if you think that you eat healthily .

Shingles is horrendous .

Ask your Dr for anti virals .

Can you have Zovirax ?
I also recommend Amitryptaline for pain .

I use a one percent Lidocaine on my father's extensive lesions .

I think that the government need to offer an anti shingles vaccine far earlier than age 70 .

All this constant stress - brexit , covid , spiralling energy /cost of living bills undermines the general health of most people .

Get well soon .

Your hair looks great as it is, it's at a length where you can choose to put it up, if you wish. Mine's a similar length - have also had it short in the past - and I find long hair much more easier to care for and more versatile. You have lovely skin!

AuntieEleanorsCat

You are stunning with such classic bone structure. I am sure you could do absolutely anything to your hair and still command many compliments.

Gosh, that sounds OTT but it's what I see.

Thanks. It’s just some days it looks and feels a bit “plain”. Just dangling and not really anything.

Today is one of those days and no, not sharing that photo! ?

If you keep getting all these compliments you'll be lucky if your hair fits your head! grin

? I forgot to say it’s falling out in handfuls and I have a “nervous twiddle” which my hairdresser tells me will become a bald spot if I don’t leave it alone.

Life, eh? ?

Op! You have lovely hair! And miss adventure has found you a beautiful style that would really suit you ?

@Esmay Thanks for that kind advice. Yes, feeling tired and run down. Had covid very early and haven’t been quite the same since. Unfortunately, I’d left it too late for antiviral treatment but I’ve had shingles before so hopefully, will just fade, til next time. Should have known what it was immediately but what with all that extreme heat, I thought it was just itchy bra strap!

@Nanna58 I detest my hair being too neat. I never have it blow dried. Don’t like hair dryers and haven’t owned one for 20 yrs!

It seems so silly, so trivial spending time thinking about hair dos. So much else to worry about.
