Wristwatches!

I feel really lost without a watch but my dds in their 40s don’t own watches and neither do the grandchildren.

Apple Watch counts my every step and tells me when my phone rings, washing machine is ready and a whole lot of other useful (?) things. Would be lost without it but it doesn’t half leave a large tan mark!

I have an Apple Watch and wouldn’t be without it.
I’ve got sparkly bits like different straps and face surrounds that I put on it if going somewhere special and it looks great

I did up to covid, also rings but I had to keep taking them off to wash so often it got rediculous. Same with earring and face masks, after I lost one lovely earring I stopped wearing them, still wear a mask so still no earrings

Always. I have a lovely Swiss watch given to me years ago by my late DH. Although I am right-handed, I wear it on my right wrist which I know is different from some since people often wear theirs on their non dominant arm. It just seems logical for me to look to my right side when I am checking the time.

I have lots of beautiful big watches but many don’t work (I haven’t replaced the batteries), but I still wear them - as an accessory piece or bracelet look to my outfit. Sometimes a watch just completes your look!

I love my Timex Indiglo watch which lights up when the little knob at the side is pressed (the thing that would have been the winder before battery watches).
When I wake up in the night I do like to know what time it is.

I wear a wrist watch and a fitbit, one to tell the time and one to count my swimming lengths. Same as some others, worn a wristwatch since I was ten years old with a trusty Timex lasting years. Class mates always relied on me for the time.

No. But years ago I wouldn't be without one, even to the point of a lovely white mark where I'd been on holiday and kept my watch on

FYI I have a very tiny wrist as well. I love my petite Raymond Weil two-tone Parsifal watch and it was easily adjusted to fit me. Expensive but going on almost 20 years and quite likely to be the last watch I’ll ever own.

I always used to wear a watch ,I had the same watch in chrome, rose gold and gold. We went out to visit my dying mother in hospital and were burgled ,they took my gold and rose gold watch (neither expensive makes, I just liked them) and I admit although I still have the chrome one that I was wearing that day it all seemed spoilt for me and I’ve never worn a watch since.

Pre phones. Always hated wearing a watch. But did as always on a tight time schedule. Took it off as soon as I got home from work. If I left in on low table, dog would steal it! Found it in all sorts of strange places, including garden. Never worked out why he did it!

Apple Watch that I can make and receive calls on and send or receive text messages when at work. Wouldn’t be without it.

I wear my Swiss railway watch all the time and only remove it to shower, I love it because the face is so clear. Come to think of it I love clear face clocks everywhere. Time seems important to me and punctuality is high on my list of good manners.

Me too apart from when I fly! Spent my life working to deadlines and now I don’t need to be anywhere to the minute although I’m still never late for anything!

The irony is the watch I have is a citizen eco one which is the most expensive one I’ve ever owned, and now the least worn!

I never wear any of my wristwatches (all received as gifts) as I don’t care what time it is.

These days I would however benefit from an gadget telling me what day it is. ?

I wear a Fitbit, like to know how my steppage is doing plus I d be late for everything otherwise as I d have to be scrabbling about in my bag for my phone and it’s easier just to look at my wrist ?

I wear an Apple Watch now, but have a few others that I wear if I’m ‘dressed’ (not all at once, obviously ?). I always wear one, and have done since I got my first Timex for my tenth birthday.

I wear a Fitbit which I wear all the time (except in the shower). I love it because it keeps tabs on my general health and makes me feel guilty if I have not been keeping up my long walks. It even tells me if I have had enough sleep. I would feel naked without it. I would not wear an ordinary wrist watch.

Took mine off at the start of lockdown and haven't worn it since, the time is always on my phone if I need it

OH wears his all the time (and is always looking at it!) but I rarely wear one now.

I never wear a watch, because I dislike everything being automated and time critical.

I know it's just how things are, and the chaos that would ensue if people didn't arrive on time, and so on, but, well...
I can pretend.
