Shower soap

Morning all. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a shower product that smells great and lasts on the skin but isn't drying at the same time. A lot of them have very little lasting smell and run away when you pour them.
Thanks

Feel mean even saying this - but - the sainsburys version of simple soap bars (called Pure) - lasts ages and has no bad effects. Poor sense of smell so could not say about its aroma.

I’m glad it was helpful. It’s a lovely little shop, and online sales help them keep their high street presence (and presents).

That was for coco12.

M & S has a range called Apothecary which are inexpensive and very mild. Their shampoos are the low foaming kind too.

Nesti Dante bar soap is lovely...I received a set for Xmas last year, lasts a long time and has a gorgeous scent.

I love Nesti Dante too. If you use one of the big bars in the shower though, you’ve just to be careful you don’t drop it on a toe!

Savon de Marseille is a favourite of mine, although I'd use a body lotion after using any soap.

If anyone else has one of the little mesh bags that used to come with laundry tablets, they’re perfect for hanging soap in the shower and can be used to exfoliate at the same time.

Well, I've got a dozen or more and have put tiny pieces of knitting in them before sewing up etc but wondered what else I could use them for.

Good idea, twiglet!

Bar soap of any kind is so much less wasteful than any product in a plastic bottle. TK Maxx is a good source of triple milled soaps that seem a bit expensive but are worth it as they last really well. I’d agree with the recommendations for Dove too.

Yes, they sell larger bars of Italian, French and other lovely soaps.

I like Scottish Fine Soaps, au Lait in particular but didn't see any last time I was in TK Maxx.

If ever we go to TK Maxx, DH knows where to find me when it’s time to leave. I’m a self-confessed soap sniffer, and I won’t be happy till I’ve tried every one. smile

Me too Maggie! Nothing nicer.

I also recommend L'Occitane. I love the verbena soap. It lasts a long time, and I buy a large bar and cut it in half with a warm knife, it's more economical that way.

Must try theirs, not had it yet
