ladies, I'd love to hear your recommendations for what nightwear you're wearing. Going into the colder months, I struggle with where to buy my nightwear, I like it to be warm but not fleecey! Also I'm usually a pj wearer but I'd be open to trying something new if anyone has any good suggestions! Thankyou smile no budget if its worth the money !

Nothing, year round.

PJs and if it’s really cold I will wear a long cardigan over my PJs - passion killer 😂but then, I’m on my own …

Until last year, I was always a sleeveless cotton Nightie girl, whatever the weather, but decided I needed something warmer for my old bones. Picked up some oversized t shirt shaped nighties that don't cling from Asda and Sainsburys and some very loose pyjama bottoms. More like yoga pants. I think they're all Viscose with 5% elastane. The tops all have a deep scoop neck as I can't abide anything muffling me up. When it got really cold I put a cotton camisole under the top. Also bought some slightly heavier weight nighties from Taking Shape. They're made from bamboo and feel heavy until you put them on and they hang beautifully, no clinging. I actually bought a long sleeved one which I am planning to wear with thick tights as a dress.

Jaxjacky I’m with you I do have pjs for when I read in bed or in the evenings but I take them off to sleep.

oooo I couldn't, I think I'd freeze !! grin

I made two sets of baggy linen pjs, thin linen and they are just right re temperature, I would not want anyone to see me in them, they are the opposite of glam but functional and good at cover-up for the evenings when I slather myself with lovely black gram oil

In the winter I wear a long sleeveless cotton nightdress. In the summer I wear a short cotton sleeveless nightdress. I have no heating on in my bedroom and at least one window is open. I usually have a summer weight duvet all year round but if it’s hot I just have a cotton sheet.

nothing, just an all night electric blanket in the winter and window open..

Snap Jaxjacky! Except when I’m ill - I feel comforted by wearing a nightshirt if I feel a little flu-ey, it may be psychological!

Fatface cosy pyjama bottoms and a long sleeved vest top in winter sleeveless vest top and shorts in the summer. I have an old m & s fleece dressing gown as well which I am cuddled in today as cold!

I like cotton jersey pyjamas. Nighties ride up and are uncomfortable. I usually get them from Lands End when they are on offer.

Pjs with long sleeves and bed socks when it’s very cold. I have an oversized chenille jumper that I throw on as soon as I get up because I don’t like dressing gowns.

I like my bottom half to be bare….my legs get caught up in nighties and I always feel trapped by pj trousers be they short or long. So tend towards nightshirts in the winter and nothing at all in the summer.

CariadAgain Wed 11-Sept-24 15:52:55

Nothing usually - all year round. But I add an extra duvet on top of me in the winter and give my bed a quick blast from the hairdryer I have plugged in at the side of it to warm the sheets before getting in.

Just old t shirts , some have holes in them, my other half thinks they're embarrassing being on the line. My step daughter said when she saw one "have you thought of getting rid of them?" Me "no I see no reason to do that, I don't wear them out" I have respectable brushed cotton pyjamas but they make me too hot.

I wear a camisole and shorts.

I didn't used to wear anything until our burglar alarm went off in the night and I jumped out of bed and charged down the stairs starkers. It was a false alarm but it occurred to me later that I might have gone to prison if there had been a burglar and I'd shocked him into a heart attack in my living room.

Cashmere bed socks; if your feet are warm it helps the rest of your body stay warm whatever you choose to wear.

M0nica Wed 11-Sept-24 16:51:44

Chanel No 5 - and a mink coat.

Shelflife Wed 11-Sept-24 16:54:02

Cotton PJs , medium weight douvet, fleece blanket to hand if I need it and the all important hot water bottle, window slightly open .

Ilovedogs22 Wed 11-Sept-24 17:26:51

I wear fluffy socks & PJ's and have also found that a big hairy man (Dear hubby) is a very useful winter accessory too! Oh, not forgetting a smelly hairy dog on my feet. 😊

Surely just the Chanel No 5? 😂Otherwise for your OH it would be like sleeping alongside a dog.

All depends on the weather but normally something lacy and a bit slinky. If it’s totally freezing then I may wear shorts and vest top.No socks needed as I put cold feet on DP ( he shrieks)😃
