ladies, I'd love to hear your recommendations for what nightwear you're wearing. Going into the colder months, I struggle with where to buy my nightwear, I like it to be warm but not fleecey! Also I'm usually a pj wearer but I'd be open to trying something new if anyone has any good suggestions! Thankyou smile no budget if its worth the money !

Always a nightie, short sleeved and not too long - a bit thicker if winter. If you sleep naked I would think you need to wash the sheets more often. I also have an underblanket, but not overnight. If not used I take hours to get warm. If very cold I might wear light bottoms. And always socks. Supermarket nighties are fine.

I buy my lovely stretchy cozy nightdresses from cyberjammies also M&S do a small range from them too.

I treated myself to some Victorian type Wincyette nighties, down to the floor and long sleeves. I wear woolly socks and am toastie warm.

I’ve never found nightwear that I like and is comfortable. With the exception of cashmere bed socks. If it is really cold I just wear comfy old clothes - high waisted leggings and long sleeved t-shirts. And throw a woolen blanket over the duvet.

A Hanro long sleeved, above the knee (90 cms) nightie. I love the softness of the material. I only buy in the sales. Plus M&S soft socks and panties. I sleep between an electric underblanket and a 13-feather-togged J. L. duvet. No heating.

Jersey cotton pjs in winter then simple cotton for warmer weather. Always 3/4 length legs and short sleeved top. I do have long legged pjs but find they just ride up.

Last night I resorted to the bed socks, it was so cold. Doesn't bode well for winter.

Cotton pyjamas with long sleeves. I bought another pair in M&S yesterday for only £12.50.

What kinda of pj? A button down? I usually find those posh smile

Long sleeved cotton, full length Nightdress. Can’t stand PJs…need to have air ‘down there’. It’s also better for NOT helping UTIs. I wear trousers/ jeansp everyday, and it’s a relief to get an airing at night!

I think I'd quite like a full length nightie! cosy! Where do you buy longer than knee length?

Discovered Cyberjammies a few years ago and they are my “go-to” for nightwear all year round

Ooo I have heard of cyberjammies, which styles do you like?

I haven't heard of hanro but I'm definitely interested! It looks like its very good quality for the price (especially in the sale!)

I prefer an unheated house at night , and must get up to the commode several times at night. I wear a warm cardigan over my tee shirt, and warm track suit bottoms.

If the OP referred to bed time fashions I'd not have replied, as I and millions like me regard apparel as a way to keep warm and decent, not a fashion statement.

Nothing all year round . In winter I have a higher tog duvet .

Jilly Coopers husband was asked what she wore in bed and after a second of reflection, he said "a dog".

My favourite pyjamas are from Primark, long sleeved tunic top and close fitting bottoms in light jersey worn with velvet fleecy M & S socks. I hate having cold feet. I've had the pyjamas for ages, they have worn and washed very well.

I live alone so I don’t have to “dress for bedtime”, altho I do have a bedtime wardrobe for comfort when it’s hot or cold.

More than half of my sleepwear is NOT actual pj’s, nightgowns, etc but regular daywear consisting of short/long sleeved t-shirts, camisoles, jersey pants, lightweight leggings and socks in winter. I’m mixing and matching outfits all winter long. Cozy as a bug in a rug.

For summer - usually a cami or lightweight tee and bikinis, or shifty dresses/muu muus, and if it’s really cool AC - long sleeves and socks help.

Socks make all the difference in “feeling” warm. Start out by wearing footies; if you need regular socks, go for it.
My best sleepwear is body hugging like a second skin (not loose) and lightweight. Think of how you dress your babies.

I live with someone and I dont have to 'dress for bedtime'. I wear a long sleeved warm cotton night dress because it is what prefer to wear and would wear that even if I was on my own.

I remember her writing (way back when) that they had a kitten and Leo called it Ceremony so when they had visitors he could open the door and say, ‘Do come in, make yourselves at home and don’t stand on ceremony!’ 😂

Nothing but a pair of warm socks……and I heat up the bed with an electric blanket which I turn off when I get in.

pably15 Sun 15-Sept-24 13:07:53

long sleeved granny nightie in winter, and if it's very cold, socks too..

M0nica I think it's all about preference smile I think grundy was thinking because she's on her own, she can be practical rather than fashionable
