Laura Geller makeup

I use Laura Geller, and like it. I don't like heavy makeup, and my skin is 66 years old, with all the texture and tones that come with late youth . I like that you brush it on and can leave it at one layer or build it if you want more coverage. I keep mine in the study and mainly use it before going on a Zoom call, so I don't look as ghastly as I usually do online.

If it helps, I have the baked makeup and the baked bronzer, which I use as blusher over the makeup. I also got some of the full coverage one as it came in a bundle, but rarely use that as it's heavier than I like.

I bought a starter kit a few years ago from QVC
Honestly for me, the powder just seemed to sit in the lines on my face and accentuate my age!
I think that even on the models in the adverts you can see this..
As you say, you hardly know anyone who uses it. If it was that good we would all be singing its praises.
Mine went in the bin!

Maybe it depends on how deep the lines are? I don't mean that to be rude, but I haven't found that at all.

I’ve used it, almost daily, for years - I’m 74 now and used it this morning. The secret really is in the buffing. I bought that kit for DD1 (45) in February.

Interesting! Thank you all. I'm not too worried about lines so far, my issue is everything sitting in mid face pores. I've bought full price Chanel stuff, with advice from an assistant 🥴, which I gave away. Mind you, it was an impulse buy at the airport on the way to hols. I think I might go for it as it's on offer. I'm sure my daughter will use it I don't. I'm 70 and the only thing that doesn't show in my pores is No 7 intelligent colour foundation, but it doesn't hide anything, just gives a nice overall colour.

I started using it a few months ago it's quick to apply and gives either light or heavy coverage I was recommend to use a primer and this made it last longer

I have been using it for a while now and I am very pleased with the results.

This brand always looks tempting but I have to go to the
cheap-side as I have a needy, older mutt, whose tablets don't come cheap! Anyway he loves me just as I am, crow's feet un-all.🐾

A few months ago a Gransnet member suggested using L Oreal BB cream. Which was about a quarter of the price of the expensive foundation I used. It comes in very light, light, medium, dark. It is so much better than the expensive base and I use it all the time. It takes two or three minutes to sink in.

You can mix the colours together to get your right shade. It comes out as a white cream but changes colour on your skin.

I’m 74 and use the baked foundations, I have it in a few colours to suit my skin as it changes through the seasons. It doesn’t look heavy and doesn’t accentuate the wrinkles.
Her concealer is excellent too.

I have Laura Gellers products for a long time . The balance and brighten foundation is great . You don’t need a lot of it to give you a good coverage.I would go down in the colour though . You can get some good deals on Laura Geller on QVC

QVC sell this - and you can return it if you don't like it. No quibble, even when used. I'd try it via them so you don't waste your money (only the return postage). Personally, it doesn't do anything for me. I like a light foundation but this doesn't provide enough coverage.

Makes me wonder what they do with the returned used items!!!

I have used Laura Geller for a long time now. I am late 60's and I find foundation to be too clogging and shows up my lines. QVC frequently show Laura Geller and give tips on how to apply etc., I find their Balance and Brighten is great over moisturiser. If you buy from QVC you can try it at home and return it within 30 days if it doesn't suit you. Tip. Buy the brush as well, it is very useful.

I recently bought one of the starter kits to try. I gave away the lipstick as it wasn't my colour and quite drying.
The balance and brighten foundation is ok if you want really light coverage. It doesn't mask my red cheeks unfortunately but it doesn't accentuate pores either. It has quite a sheen and so I would only use it in the evening. The company say you can build up the coverage but then it does look rather powdery.
The blusher and highlighter are also ok but again they are very light. The primer provides a nice base and it all came with a good make up brush. I think it will last a long time.

I love the balance n brighten and the balance n glow baked powders. Quick and easy and plenty of coverage for my 72 year old skin. As someone else suggested, buy it off QVC - you will see demos of how products are applied and if you dont like them for whatever reason simply return. Used or otherwise.

I started used LG baked glow foundation about 6 months ago and love it. I've had quite a few comments about how healthy my skin looks. My skin is normal to dry if I don't moisturise well. I just started off buying the baked foundation and brush. I still use my own blusher. Maybe try foundation and brush first. They are usually on offer on the LG website
