I haven’t worn jeans for years, but fancy getting some.
I don’t want skinny tight jeans but maybe something a bit easy to wear, comfortable.
Has anyone any recommendations please?

I’ve just bought a pair of jeans from Halara, their ad kept coming up on my fb page and a friend bought some and raved about them . They’re stretchy and come in all shapes , straight, flared , wide leg and lots of shades . Plus they do different leg lengths . I got mine from the TikTok shop and got a fiver off.

Uniqlo have some lovely soft denim jeans £35.

M & S straight leg jeans have different lengths and are easy to wear. I have dark blues for Winter and a lighter ones for Summer.
They have a bit of stretch and very comfortable, I always get the high rise style.

As a serial jeans wearer, the only way to know is to try them on I think, because every brand, and every style is different, you need to hone it down to what shape of jeans you are looking for, and what fits and suits you best.

I’d start at M&S, which has a huge selection, to work out exactly what you prefer before you hone your search down to eg high waisted, barrel leg, dark indigo, regular length - or whatever, then look for jeans from other companies which meet your criteria.

Maybe controversial, but also try some without stretch, I prefer them as they hang better, and hold their shape as long as they aren’t too tight over your knees.

Snag are very good as well.

There was a thread a little while ago called "old lady clothes'.
Don't be put off by the title, as there was quite a lot of talk about jeans and where to buy them .

I’ve started wearing jeans again after years of living in leggings. Spent ages looking online for the right M&S jeans ( wouldn’t normally buy something like that online but I always used to wear M&S ones and I can return them to a nearby food outlet if necessary) only to find that they were out of stock. Ended up buying some from Next as there was a shop next to Lidl. Couldn’t believe how many styles there are now.

Cotton Traders have very comfortable jeans both in denim and in various coloured cotton.

I bought a lovely pair of straight leg jeans from Romans. They had them in petite so just the right length for me. The denim has a light stretch so very comfy. Got them in light and dark blue denim.

The best jeans I ever had were NYDJ “Not Your daughter’s Jeans”. American. Perfect cut.

I had a look around at reviews of jeans yesterday, and Amazon scored higher than M&S according to Woman and Home.

You may want to try something cheaper, in case you don't like them, or decide you need a different fit. .
Levis also scored well, but were pretty pricey.
M&S seem the best bet, as you can just return them easily.

Lands end do a good range. I have also bought a couple of nice cheap, pairs from TEMU… but you have to look very carefully at what you are buying as it’s always a touch of a gamble as to what you get, but checking carefully on materials, sizes and enlarging the images… I got some goodies!

Tenko I second this. I love my Halara jeans! (and I normally hate jeans because they're so unyielding). But Halara jeans are so comfortable. Highly recommend.
