We all spend so much time on our tablets/smartphones etc, that we at GNHQ have decided to start rounding up our pick of the most useful/entertaining or even downright silly apps.

This will be a regular thing, and to get things started, we'd like to hear from you about which ones have benefited you in some way.

So, which apps make your life easier? Which ones make you laugh? Which ones do you find helpful? Which is your overall favourite? Serious or silly, we'd like to hear about it. Thanks all cupcake

SORES

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I've only just noticed the date on post.

In fairness it is a good topic.

Yes it is, interesting, so it will possibly be alive for a while.

I love the iplayer radio app all I ever need to access any radio programmes I may have missed.

Ohh yes! I love the iplayer apps.
I can always find something to watch or to listen-into. Brilliant stuff.

Citymapper, the Train app, and Uber, seeing as we rely on public transport to go anywhere since my DH had a stroke.

Oh bums, another of those old threads.
Why is the OP blue?

The PressReader app, supported by many Uk public libraries gives free access to thousands of UK and international newspapers and magazines. You need to be a library member, to have a login, but that is also free.
