Plugging in is getting me down ( just a little)

We seem to be the age of 'plugging in.'

My phone, my iPad, my Kindle, my leg massager.

Every day, it seems, something needs plugging in. I have several portable chargers, which see me through most of the time, but guess what? They need plugging in too

The gadgets are all very wonderful, but I do get tired of the endless plugging in.

JaneJudge and Allira, I've got one of those machines, it's called Revitive and was about £200 a few years ago. I have fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis, restless legs, Morton's Neuroma and plantar fasciitis. It does absolutely nothing for me 😟.

I take a 4 plug extension lead when I go away . It means only one adapter plug .

You can get a charging hub, 4/6 or 8 charging ports run off one socket. I always set up a reminder to pack the chargers when going away, would be drastic, especially the one for my hearing aids, oh and the phone and the iPad and the kindle and the ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

what is a leg massager? I think I could do with one

I have a leg massager to calm my restless legs. It goes around the calf, fastening with Velcro, and then inflates and deflates at regular intervals.

Mostly it works but not always.

You should try moving back to England after twenty years in France! We still have about 30 plugs to change....

I have just bought some little tags to label all my plugs. I have used 14 of them in the living room for permanently plugged in items, let alone the things I plug in as and when I use them! I only have 6 sockets, so a spaghetti of extension leads and adaptors abounds!

I wish all chargers had the Maker's name on them!! I have various products, some of my late husband's that I would like to use, but although I have a bag full of chargers and plugs, I cannot partner the two together!! My Sharp stick vacuum charger etc is marked, meaning I can always match the correct one when needing to recharge the equipment.
I am sure it wouldn't take too much to mark them.

It is the same with kitchen devices. I have more plugs than sockets and was always having to swap the cables around, so I invested in a labeller. Each power plug and charger cable has the name of what it is for. It makes life a lot easier.

I have a white and a black fine permanent marker pen to label my many chargers, not all of which have the maker's name.

Forgetting to plug is is worse!!

Don't forget the rechargeable vacuum cleaner.

I bought a new debobbler, it's very good.
But it needs plugging in 😀

Please tell me which debobbler you’ve got! I really need one that works! I don’t mind if it needs charging.
Thank you!

I have a cordless:

Vacuum cleaner
Karcher window vac
Lawn mower
Leaf blower
Strimmer
Screwdriver
Drill
Revitive foot massager
Car vac
Mobile phone
Tablet

Not having a lead makes life so much easier, all the plugs have a sticky label on telling me what they're for, but it would help if manufacturers just made one charging lead for everything, just like a 3 pin plug is a 3 pin plug, why can't the other end be universal? 🙄🤷

Just be grateful we don't live in the days before electricity was invented.

We moved back to the UK 8 years ago, after 17 years in France. We still have some gadgets with French plugs, but we have plenty of adaptors.

Ps as we cannot advertise, other makes are available but the other one I had needed batteries. It was very good too (can't remember the brand).

I agree, most annoying. I bought a useful gadget which has all the chargers you might need in one phone size box. Difficult to describe. But guess what, it needs charging too!

One word of warning a fire officer came to my workplace, before I retired, and warned never to charge overnight as it is a fire risk. I’m sure all you sensible grans netters know this already!

Even my bed plugs in but now I've lost the remote! (I seem to spend half my life looking for things I've set down in the wrong spot - trying to improve on that)
