Silent Witness TONIGHT one more chance

I enjoyed it but thought it was a bit drawn out, could probably have been told in an hour long programme without too much effort.

Somebody help me out, I'm going nuts.

I watched what I thought were the first 2 episodes last night and 'nobody threw themselves under a train'.

It was about a teenage boy. I won't expend because some may not watched the two I am on about and it would spoil their viewing. How many progs have been shown? I think I have messed up somehow.

There were two episodes last week Pogs which was the start of the new series maybe that's what you've just watched. I can't remember the story though

POGS you did watch the first program from last week 2 episodes.. maybe this weeks wasn't on catch up till the second episode had been shown... you should be able to watch this weeks 2 episodes which are mostly about murders on the underground..

My silly fault. After grumppa's post I am wondering if I might be disappointed.

I don't think so , I thoroughly enjoyed this weeks and the twist in the end of the tale made it more so but we won't spoil it for you grumppa didn't give it all away..

Are we talking about the one where she takes in a homeless young feller off the street?

I just caught up with this week's episodes. My goodness. I really got that relationship the wrong way round! Very clever.

Big change from being Freddy Threepwood in Emsworth for that actor. I can't help liking him. Don't know why!

Call me picky if you like (and you probably will), but I was very disappointed last night to hear one of the central characters repeatedly saying "I could OF" rather than "I could HAVE". Would it have been so difficult to get this right?

I wish Emilia Fox would cut down a bit on that facial expression denoting thinking/puzzlement, a sort of half frown.

I also heard "could of" mentioned on the 24 hour news service and on Silent Witness. It grates with me.

It grates more when written, I think may people in everyday speech shorten the word i.e. could've but when seen in print as "could of" it is very annoying! I found in a novel I read recently, you'd think that somebody at the proof reading / copy editing stage would HAVE noticed!

I think she's supposed to sound poor and fick.

I am now totally up to the minute with all six progs. and I have enjoyed all of them.

I still don't like the Irish pathologist much, why does he annoy me, is it his acting or character? Probably just me.

I think he's meant to be abrupt and abrasive. He's always been like that. I miss the actor who was in it before.

Obviously not enough to remember his name though!

I enjoyed it again. Maybe not factually correct but it's a drama not a documentary. Not everybody talks like what we do. Think Louise, the social worker said that Lizzies mother had learning difficulties which would explain how she presented herself.

The series is almost 20 years old! Incredible. Harry Cunningham. I liked him. I went right off Leo when he had an affair.

I bet if I watched the early series again, the advances in forensic science would be incredible. It was the science behind it that attracted me at first, but now it all seems to have taken a back seat. I rather miss that.

And who could forget Amanda Burton, scalpel poised, gazing wistfully into the far distance?
