So, as the trial has been and gone, we are all glad that Helen won, and Rob had his true self revealed, will the rift 'tween Adam & Ian be healed?

Whose jam will be judged to be the best? Will Joe approach his final rest?

Will Grange Farm rent be paid on time?

Can I be arsed inspired to write more drivel rhyme?

Away we go!

Miranda's Best Moments aka Mrs Elliott's Life Hacks

GracesGranMK2 Fri 10-Mar-17 21:55:31

Is this what Lillian wants?

AyjayF Fri 10-Mar-17 19:58:49

How lovely Jazzer is!

merlotgran Fri 10-Mar-17 19:21:46

At least Lilian owns the roof over his head grin

MawBroon Fri 10-Mar-17 19:16:47

Well!!
Miranda will take him for every penny I expect but I do think he will make Lillian happy.

Good for Jim, proving that a classical education is never wasted! And good for Emma for grasping his idea and runnning with it!

AyjayF Sat 25-Feb-17 19:25:39

Is that a euphemism, merlotgran?

merlotgran Sat 25-Feb-17 19:08:27

Where did Justin park his car, I wonder?

Iam64 Sat 25-Feb-17 19:00:56

merlot - your post at 10.20 is perfect. I couldn't agree more with your summary of the awful Justin and the desperate Lilian.
phoenix, I don't see Jennifer as a paragon of virtue at all. I do feel she's done her best to be a fairly discreet desperado.
Poor Raurie, banished to boarding school for ever it seems, never given any lines at all during his very brief visits home and then the possibility that his friend Sam's mum could bring him home and come into the house calling "jennifer" as so many ordinary mother's would have done. Oh no, they'd say, I can't just drop you off Raurie, without making sure your mum knows you're home. Can you imagine, horror of horrors. Plus - the news would inevitably have made its way to Miranda and Jennifer's party would have been in real Trouble.

grin Kinky! fiorentina. Do you think he was also wearing his wellies?

fiorentina51 Sat 25-Feb-17 17:05:58

Perhaps he was just zipping up his anorak? ?

merlotgran Sat 25-Feb-17 16:17:43

I think you hear Jennifer running upstairs because she can hear a noise

Rather a good job Sam's mum didn't give Ruairi a lift home after all. shock

Did we really have to hear Justin pulling up his zip? [yuck]

AyjayF Sat 25-Feb-17 13:54:06

Oh. Was it in the living room? Yuck. I was wondering why Jenny barged into Lilians bedroom.

Luckygirl Sat 25-Feb-17 11:41:00

Why didn't they use Lilian's bedroom? Why flap it all around in the living room?

phoenix Sat 25-Feb-17 11:36:15

I think some have forgotten that Jennifer isn't exactly a paragon of virtue! Didn't she have an affair with her ex husband?

I seem to think that his name was Roger, but that could just be an unfortunate error on my part!

MawBroon Sat 25-Feb-17 11:00:30

shock

merlotgran Sat 25-Feb-17 10:31:22

The sound effects were enough to scare the horses, Maw shock

MawBroon Sat 25-Feb-17 10:28:02

Call me ageist but the image of Lillian who must be mid-70's and Justin (same?) being caught in flagrante is not an attractive one. Even on Radio grin

merlotgran Sat 25-Feb-17 10:20:19

I'm not excusing Justin. I think he's a nasty, sleazy, unfaithful bastard who will drop Lilian in it at the first sign of trouble from (charming?) Miranda.

I still think Lilian is behaving like a desperate old slapper though.

Lazigirl Sat 25-Feb-17 10:02:34

Arn't we being a tad sexist here. What's the male equivalent of a slapper? I think Justin's character behaving much worse than Lilian as he is deceiving the charming Miranda.

Iam64 Sat 25-Feb-17 09:48:10

Jennifer has had her share of the need for discretion, with Brian's serial philandering, Kate as the nightmare daughter and so on. I suspect finding her older sister having * with the awful Justin was just too much for her to tolerate. Especially with her Party on the horizon, with Mrs Justin/Miranda as guest of honour. Jennifer may be an irritating snob but she's kind hearted and a great example of wives/mothers who just get on with life, no matter what is thrown their way. I enjoy Lilian's character but maybe she could follow her sister's example and behave herself a bit.

GracesGranMK2 Fri 24-Feb-17 19:40:00

More like a teenager I thought Merlot although these days the teens seem to have more sensible heads on their shoulders than Lilian is showing at the moment.

I thought the bit with Christine and Jill was well written and played though.
