So, as the trial has been and gone, we are all glad that Helen won, and Rob had his true self revealed, will the rift 'tween Adam & Ian be healed?

Whose jam will be judged to be the best? Will Joe approach his final rest?

Will Grange Farm rent be paid on time?

Can I be arsed inspired to write more drivel rhyme?

Away we go!

Once an Archer takes a partner, that partners family either disappears or they were orphaned prior to being engulfed into the Archer Clan. Hope Pip does rebel and goes off with Toby, they seem to love each other and she might be just what've needs to get on them"right track". Think Jill is being very unfair blaming the children for their fathers mistakes. As for Helen accepting those gifts and not reporting it to the police afterwards, if she doesn't she is stupid. Think I will switch off for a while. Is Harrison an orphan does anyone know?

Nelliemoser Sun 18-Dec-16 09:02:15

I don't think for a moment Pip and Toby will last she is just infatuated with him (and probably her current sex life.)
There will be tears before bedtime.

I think Pip is still very level headed where her farming is concerned.

Just heard the omnibus which filled in my Archers week. Goodness rob is still a danger to both jess and Helen. Helen needs to speak to the police and jess about his visit to the farm. When she was on her own......dum di dum di dum di dum....

Iam64 Sun 18-Dec-16 18:49:35

What a B phoenix, I do hope your'e back in ok now.
Yes silverlining48, Helen would be well advised to speak to the Police and text Jess to let her know what happened.
I'm about to dish the food up so we don't miss this evenings episode...

How I loved the party where poor Rob did not have a Secret Santa gift, Debbie told him where to go, Justin was surprised he hadn't moved away + Adam + Ian were loved up. Oh, and he was offered Ian's warm beer. Happy Days!

DaphneBroon Thu 22-Dec-16 19:42:18

Well done, Debbie!! Go girl!
Surely Rob must snap soon?
I even wonder if Justin is giving him enough rope to hang himself?
We shall see. One thing though, much as I would like to see Rob's ultimate downfall, TA without his evil scheming ways is rather dull!

I hadn't realised Rauri is 14!

merlotgran Thu 22-Dec-16 19:58:28

A mute teenager at Christmas? What a rare phenomenon.

Iam64 Fri 23-Dec-16 07:59:52

I don't know merlotgran, many of the 14 year old boys in my circle were fairly silent, monosyllabic or grunted when forced to respond to a question. Freddie Partiger has been silent for several years, only recently found his voice again

shysal Fri 23-Dec-16 13:12:52

Rob is obviously stalking. I am certain that it was he who planted a Christmas figure out front of Bridge Farm for Henry to see. It was either a snowman or Santa, I forget which.

Luckygirl Fri 23-Dec-16 13:15:40

I almost feel sorry for Rob (ducks below parapet) - he has some sort of personality disorder and I guess no-one would choose that, and more than one might choose to be bi-polar or depressed.

Luckygirl Fri 23-Dec-16 13:15:56

"any"

Iam64 Fri 23-Dec-16 18:25:42

Rob has a narcissistic personality disorder, diagnosed by the 12 year old psychologist and by half of the population. He is dangerous, damaging and as he doesn't believe there is anything that needs to change about him, rather the rest of the world needs to recognise his genius and change to accommodate him, there is currently no hope he'll engage with the therapy that could help him. He's more likely to continue to cause significant distress for all he comes into contact with.
I fear for Jess, as he will be in her vicinity if he's staying at his parents' farm. He could easily convince himself she's the cause of all his problems...
(dum de dum de dum de dum )

Is it me or is Alastair up to no good?

suzied Tue 27-Dec-16 07:13:13

I've always been suspicious of Alistair, staying away at conferences, avoiding all those Archers parties. Do we think Toby is being accepted into the fold?

Nelliemoser Tue 27-Dec-16 08:01:06

AyjayF My thoughts exactly, does he fancy his new business partner? Does he want Shula out of the way more often?

Elrel Tue 27-Dec-16 09:36:59

Wondering how long it takes a little boy to gradually forget a father figure no longer in his everyday life but so clearly in his thoughts.
Next drama - Lil and Miranda?! Umbrellas at dawn?!

merlotgran Tue 27-Dec-16 10:12:19

George in a quad-bike accident?

Luckygirl Tue 27-Dec-16 10:55:11

Well I guess that Rob did not choose his personality disorder and the aetiology of this is much the same as any other mental health issue: part genes, part faulty brain messages, part upbringing, possibly childhood trauma etc. I suppose someone with Rob's problems is so obnoxious and dangerous that there is a tendency to overlook the fact that it may not be his fault. That said, it would be great if he would b****r off and let Helen and Jess get on with their lives.

I wish we could hear from Ruari - he seems to be an elective mute!

Iam64 Tue 27-Dec-16 13:15:00

Lucky girl, you're right about the things that may contribute to the development of NPD. I accept you may not agree but even people with various personality problems or disorders can engage with therapy aimed at helping them recognise and modify their behaviour. Rob has many advantages in that respect. He is intelligent, organised enough to manage working life, he isn't addicted to gambling, drugs or alcohol. His therapeutic needs will have been set out in the psychological assessment, along with suggestions about how to access appropriare therapy, he can afford to buy it in, unlike the many other parents who have limited and carefully supervised contact. Over to you Mr Titchner, get a referral, engage with the therapist and leave Helen and Henry alone

Elrel Tue 27-Dec-16 14:54:59

Merlot, I wouldn't be surprised!

Elrel Tue 27-Dec-16 14:59:00

Amused at SW giving Jack a personalised book for Christmas. As Gideon there would have been more encounters with animals. I always think Sebastian and Annabella do best with those lovely books, unlike poor Amy, Zoe, Eli and Zak!

Take note that the bucket collection at the Boxing Day meet was for the Air Ambulance....................

AyjayF Thu 29-Dec-16 07:14:12

Thoughts about Tobys trip to Brighton???
