So, as the trial has been and gone, we are all glad that Helen won, and Rob had his true self revealed, will the rift 'tween Adam & Ian be healed?

Whose jam will be judged to be the best? Will Joe approach his final rest?

Will Grange Farm rent be paid on time?

Can I be arsed inspired to write more drivel rhyme?

Away we go!

MawBroon Mon 23-Jan-17 11:23:41

I thought Justin let him off FAR too lightly. Hope someone puts the record straight in the village.

GracesGranMK2 Mon 23-Jan-17 11:26:59

Justin is protecting Damara MawBroon; he has little interest in the village except that he doesn't want his company to be sued by villagers.

GracesGranMK2 Mon 23-Jan-17 11:29:30

Justin acted according to his character LG so I suppose we should not be surprised. I don't think Rob has gone - where could he go? I have a feeling he may have burnt some boats at Christmas with his family ... well he would, wouldn't he?

Have all his awful acts now been uncovered?

nancyma Mon 23-Jan-17 17:06:09

I hope someone warns Helen to be vigilant with her children's safety until he's definitely out of the country. I think there will be something more to happen because revenge is his second name !

Iam64 Mon 23-Jan-17 18:51:17

I still believe Jess, as well as Helen, may be at risk. We can add Lilian to that list now.
Where is Stefan. GracesGran is spot on - Justin only cares about his company and his reputation. He's shown poor judgement, not for the first time, in dressing Rob's departure up as being due to Rob being offered a great opportunity in the US. Justin would still have been lying but he could have told Brian that Rob wasn't up to the job, so he sacked him.

GracesGranMK2 Mon 23-Jan-17 22:26:16

I have to agree Iam but I think Helen is more at risk. It would be part of his logic I feel to say that he can't have "my boys" then nobody can.

I also agree about Justin showing poor judgement although, if you listen to the sacking again, it could be one interpretation. I am trying to remember how he made his money - was it the city? I wonder if he will bring Charlie back to Ambridge?

Just to keep us going here is the sacking.

NfkDumpling Tue 24-Jan-17 07:42:10

I too was thinking he may well head hunt Charlie and bring him back.

How could Helen not know? Why hadn't Brian/Jenny told them?

Nelliemoser Tue 24-Jan-17 14:04:22

The Ambridge gossip machine, well fueled by Susan Carter (who else but a Horrobin) already has Rob definately going abroad. (?back to the USA).
I do not believe for a moment that Rob will go quietly.
The script writers on TA are very clever. This is exactly how rumours work.
It is high time time someone told Susan Carter to keep her big mouth shut.

Nelliemoser Tue 24-Jan-17 14:18:34

I have to say I quite like Susan Carter and Lillian Bellamy and a few irritating others. Without such characters Ambridge would be a much more boring place.
They are important characters, if nothing else, for their comedy potential.
I bet Will Shakespeare would have loved the scripting of this program.

GracesGranMK2 Tue 24-Jan-17 14:38:00

I agree Nelliemoser, Susan in particular is often the grit in the oyster that is TA and, of course, there are people like her.

(I sometimes think WS may be a SW with the machinations that go ongrin)

Lazigirl Tue 24-Jan-17 14:46:49

Isn't what Rob did likely to be a criminal matter, if his actions were the main contributing factor to the village flood and Freda's death? Surely now that Lilian and Justin know this they are withholding evidence if they do not report it, but whether it can be proved may be difficult. We need Charlie's help here.

GracesGranMK2 Tue 24-Jan-17 21:09:50

I would have thought so LG but your right, proving it might be difficult.

GracesGranMK2 Tue 24-Jan-17 21:10:10

you're not your - sorry

grumppa Thu 26-Jan-17 22:10:16

At a slight tangent, the voice of Justin Elliott appeared at the end of Eastenders today, with plans for redeveloping he East End and choosing a dodgy character as his sidekick. It was the same actor, and a very similar script. More BBC economies?

GracesGranMK2 Thu 26-Jan-17 22:47:28

I'm still grinning

Elrel Fri 27-Jan-17 19:31:27

Which stone is Rob hiding under? Can Harrison check where his car is? I can completely understand Helen not going out, she should also ask the school to keep Henry in the building until someone arrives to pick him up.

merlotgran Fri 27-Jan-17 19:37:49

I wonder which way things will go. This is either the new editor deciding to get rid of Rob and move on from a very long drawn out storyline or......he's going to pop up when Helen least expects it.

Well done, Lilian for putting Helen in the picture but Rob's even more scary when he's not around.

Has anybody warned Jess I wonder?

Lazigirl Fri 27-Jan-17 21:36:50

I don't think they'll let Rob go quietly - there's a dramatic tension in the air. I'm not warming to the new vet by the way. I didn't like what she did to Jazzer.

Iam64 Fri 27-Jan-17 22:08:56

Lilian can't expect Helen to keep more secrets from her parents and brother. That's what she did under Rob's oppression, secrets and lies arent going to help Helen. Her parents and tom will be hurt if she doesn't tell them. Plus as everyone is asking, where is he? Has henry seen him and that's what disturbed his sleep
Get a grip Helen. Lilian may have loyalty to Justin and his business, you dont

Chewbacca Fri 27-Jan-17 22:18:38

Has the new vet, Anisha, got her eyes on Rex do you think? She seemed a bit keen to be introduced to him and has involved him in her cheating drinking contest with Jazz and?

Lazigirl Sat 28-Jan-17 13:35:02

Definitely Chewbacca, so if Pip swaps her allegiance, as the plot seems to be indicating, there will end up being 'trouble at mill farm'.

silversurf Mon 30-Jan-17 18:37:02

Am I the only only who thought Pat was really cruel to Ursula when she came looking for Rob. Much as I dislike all the monstrous Titchner family this was a desperate mother looking for her missing son. Surely as a mother herself Pat should have shown a little compassion.

Iam64 Mon 30-Jan-17 18:42:09

I didn't see Pat as cruel, more as a mother and grandmother who was treated appallingly by Ursula, who is and will continue to be picking up the pieces of the devastation Rob (supported by Ursula) wreaked on Helen and Henry. Someone who supported Tony as he attempted to make the contact arrangements work. No I wasn't at all surprised that for once, Pat let rip.

Chewbacca Mon 30-Jan-17 19:06:13

I was rather pleased that Patrick finally spoke her mind to Ursula. I have a feeling that we haven't seen or heard the last of the Twitcheners yet. Rob is probably sat stewing on how he can get his own back on all those that he thinks have "wronged him". Kidnapping the children? Holding Helen hostage?

MawBroon Wed 01-Feb-17 19:16:53

OMG what is he up to this time? I thought he was going to snatch Henryshock
