So, as the trial has been and gone, we are all glad that Helen won, and Rob had his true self revealed, will the rift 'tween Adam & Ian be healed?

Whose jam will be judged to be the best? Will Joe approach his final rest?

Will Grange Farm rent be paid on time?

Can I be arsed inspired to write more drivel rhyme?

Away we go!

So Minneapolis is IN Minnesota! Doh! ?

How did Rob get into America so quickly? Didn't he need to get a visa and other documents. We had to when we visited my family several years ago. How can people be so sure he really did go.

Lazigirl Sun 12-Feb-17 16:07:03

I think after the build up and tension listeners have endured over the months, the "resolution" if that's what it was, of the failed abduction was pretty lame. Rob couldn't have taken Jack to America without passport/documentation anyway. As to Helens future I wouldn't be surprised if Anna comes back on the scene, and romance blossoms, as someone mentioned a while ago.

So instead of a dream daddy, Henry ends up with two mummies?

grin

Lazigirl Sun 12-Feb-17 16:32:44

Yes, and no trip to Egypt necessary. grin

Too sad sad for Kirsty

MawBroon Sun 12-Feb-17 19:27:31

sadsadsad
Poor Kirsty.

merlotgran Sun 12-Feb-17 19:31:51

Oh why did they have to give Kirsty such a sad storyline? sad

GracesGranMK2 Sun 12-Feb-17 22:22:13

How sad for Kirsty. I wonder why they gave her this story too Merlot. It has to affect Tom too - as if the Bridge Farm Archers haven't got enough to cope with. Roy is proving a good friend.

Elrel Sun 12-Feb-17 23:00:45

Did they really have to do that? I know it's only fiction but it will stir sad memories for so many listeners.

merlotgran Sun 12-Feb-17 23:30:53

They have hastily got rid of Rob and now Kirsty's baby, which could have been an interesting storyline has also come to an abrupt end (unless there's an overnight miracle)

Will Kirsty now leave Ambridge?

Will Peggy ask for her money back?

MawBroon Sun 12-Feb-17 23:33:08

I suppose it opens up the possibility of a relationship between Kirsty and Roy which would have been "complicated" by Tom's baby. But so sad.

GracesGranMK2 Mon 13-Feb-17 08:15:18

Is this the "bad news" style of East Enders still playing out its way out of TA? If so I hope we have some of the 'ordinary' soon, that makes TA what it has always been.

Iam64 Mon 13-Feb-17 09:13:17

Last night's episode was beyond sad and well acted I thought. It's remotely possible Kirsty's baby could survive, was the 20 week scan 4 weeks ago? I know 24 weeks is very early but neo natal care is good. See, it's real life to me and I believe that as well as Kirsty needing some positives, so do TA fans. Enough sadness and horror.

MawBroon Mon 13-Feb-17 09:44:02

Can't a "stitch" be inserted round the neck of the uterus and some drugs given to suppress labour?

Lazigirl Mon 13-Feb-17 13:14:52

There would be no point in suppressing labour MawBroon as it sounds like labour was caused by an infection which may have affected the baby. I really like Kirsty and am very sad about this cruel storyline. Yes think she may be around 24 weeks Iam64.

MawBroon Mon 13-Feb-17 13:18:35

Poor girl.

merlotgran Mon 13-Feb-17 13:28:43

It's just been on the lunchtime News that Sara Coward who plays Caroline Sterling has died.

We all knew she was terminally ill but sad news.

MawBroon Mon 13-Feb-17 13:29:59

There's a thread Merlot just my post so far.

Iam64 Mon 13-Feb-17 19:47:14

I listened to this evening's Archers and found myself tearful in the scenes between Kirsty and Helen but those between Kirsty and Tom especially. A little boy, probably perfectly formed and obviously a tiny baby for these parents to say hello and goodbye to. Heart breaking and sensitively handled by the Archers script writers and their actors.
I know I'm soft - but I did find myself hoping that Tom and Kirsty can gradually fall in love with each other and live happily ever after.

Luckygirl Mon 13-Feb-17 20:08:55

I've got Kirsty marked down for Roy.

Iam64 Mon 13-Feb-17 20:20:48

i know and that may be was happens. What we all want is some happiness for Kirsty

GracesGranMK2 Tue 14-Feb-17 00:16:51

I thought 'Kirsty' played the episode so well. She sounded shocked past belief.

I agree Iam we all need at least some normality even if they can't manage positive.

Wisdom about concern for DC from Clarrie to Pat this evening:
'You never get used to it, you just do your best.'

merlotgran Thu 16-Feb-17 19:34:13

Clarrie's lovely and guess who will end up doing all the work in Eddie's new big idea. hmm

Did he really ring Oliver I wonder?
