So, as the trial has been and gone, we are all glad that Helen won, and Rob had his true self revealed, will the rift 'tween Adam & Ian be healed?

Whose jam will be judged to be the best? Will Joe approach his final rest?

Will Grange Farm rent be paid on time?

Can I be arsed inspired to write more drivel rhyme?

Away we go!

Matt stole from her and took all her security - financial and personal - away. I would like her to be written telling him where to go - hopefully after he pays back what he took.

Trouble is Lilian's character is a risk taker who likes living on the edge and having a lot of fun. Not sure she'll settle for a comfortable pampered life with Justin. We'll see. She is getting a bit long in the tooth now for all the angst that Matt brings.

GracesGranMK2 Sun 09-Apr-17 13:41:27

I have got Lilian so wrong in the past so I am reluctant to feel I understand her character but Peggy did say she had been really hurt and that she (Lillian) wouldn't let that happen again - so I am hoping 'Peggy' understands her daughter.

You're right to describe Lilian as a risk taker. Her personality isn't going to change at this stage of her life. She enjoyed an affair with Justin but I dont believe she has ever been besotted with him, as she was with Mat. I wish she ask for her money and belongings back and send him packing. Likely? ?

Does anyone else remember Matt's habit of never being able to just say "No" or "Yes"?

It was always "Na, na, na" or "Yeah, yeah, yeah"

Iam64 Sun 09-Apr-17 14:17:06

I always saw him as a cad! Sadly, I fear Lilian's need for excitement may get the better of her. Mind you, she's between two unreliable, unfaithful, self seeking men isn't she. Maybe Mat will be broke but then, Miranda will no doubt do all she can to ensure Justin is as well.

Some great storylines on the go at the moment.

AyjayF Sun 09-Apr-17 21:30:30

Is this a new Matt?

GracesGranMK2 Sun 09-Apr-17 21:48:05

He sounded the same to me Ayjay.

Lazigirl Mon 10-Apr-17 16:19:40

I don't think it's the same actor playing Mat but haven't checked.

Lazigirl Mon 10-Apr-17 16:35:20

I am wrong! Looks like it is the same ol Matt.

chelseababy Fri 14-Apr-17 21:49:34

Spoiler alert!

At last Pip has told her parents the cows got out! Now for the cow past to hit the fan!

Luckygirl Fri 14-Apr-17 22:40:15

The SWs have got rid of Rob T so simply needed another evil male character - so let's wheel out Matt!

Lazigirl Sun 16-Apr-17 11:54:18

I agree Lucky. TA is turning into a pantomime with Matt re-entering in the main role as baddie, but who will be the fairy godmother amidst all this chaos?

Lazigirl Sat 22-Apr-17 18:25:50

Well done Ruth. Just what Pip needed, a few home truths.

merlotgran Mon 24-Apr-17 19:47:06

So, Pip is going to let David brush over the fact that she was responsible for the cows getting out but seems to have forgotten that Ed knows and David doesn't know that Ed knows? hmm

Ruth says she hates all the deception but still hasn't told David about Pip's mob grazing profits going up the Swanee. hmm

If David calls in his loan from Kenton that's Toby stuffed.....again.

And how nice of Justin to tell Lil she could do whatever she liked in HER house. grin

Luckygirl Mon 24-Apr-17 20:22:23

Where do Ruth and David get all this dosh from to be doling out compensation?

chelseababy Mon 24-Apr-17 21:29:14

Ruth's mum died and she inherited everything.

suzied Tue 25-Apr-17 09:22:29

I didn't know Ruth's mum had so much money, I thought she lived in a bungalow oop north. Didn't Ruth travel to New Zealand for several months, and give Pip a substantial hand out from her inheritance?

merlotgran Tue 25-Apr-17 10:31:42

I don't remember Ruth giving Pip a substantial sum. I thought it was David who loaned her £5000 to start up her mob grazing enterprise with Adam. I could have missed it though.

Ruth's mother took out an insurance policy when she was alive which, together with her house, made her estate worth about half a million.

Looks like there won't be much left after they've paid out all the compensation.

Odd that there's been no mention of the Ambridge farmers insuring their herds against just about everything they can think of. The NFU are big insurers so I can't understand why David, who used to be the local chair, didn't have it all in hand. hmm

Elrel Tue 25-Apr-17 23:13:13

Lilian is far too confident about the future with Justin, I reckon she's riding for a fall. Miranda's phone call to Justin may have been the spanner in the works. Perhaps he and Lilian really will have to be happy with no money! Fat chance!

GracesGranMK2 Wed 26-Apr-17 09:11:10

I think it was the 'Farm' who leant Pip the money Merlot but not sure.

Lazigirl Wed 26-Apr-17 09:51:22

Now that TA has returned to the mundane domestic I'm getting a little bit er....bored with it. I didn't think I'd say this after the melodrama of the last couple of years. Ah well, never happy!

merlotgran Wed 26-Apr-17 10:15:24

I prefer it now. I got fed up with the Rob/Helen storyline dominating nearly every episode.

I'm loving Pip's comeuppance and the Lilian/Justin/Matt/Miranda entanglement. The dumping of ponies in Lynda's field will no doubt become the latest rural issue to be highlighted now IBR has been done and dusted.

I just hope they don't return to the tedious accounts of Roy's love life.

Lazigirl Wed 26-Apr-17 12:14:37

I'm rather addicted to "Line of Duty" now merlot which has a tad more action!
