So, as the trial has been and gone, we are all glad that Helen won, and Rob had his true self revealed, will the rift 'tween Adam & Ian be healed?

Whose jam will be judged to be the best? Will Joe approach his final rest?

Will Grange Farm rent be paid on time?

Can I be arsed inspired to write more drivel rhyme?

Away we go!

He does remind me of a DGC at that age! Especially on Monday!

AyjayF Wed 14-Jun-17 19:40:10

So, Elizabeth. That went well?

merlotgran Wed 14-Jun-17 20:10:20

James sounds like a younger Justin.

I never thought I'd say this, but "good for you, Josh!"

How very dare David just assume that he can "order/insist" that Josh goes to university?

The boy might be a complete PITFA, but at least he's doing something, rather than sleeping until noon then playing computer games!

merlotgran Thu 15-Jun-17 20:27:24

I don't know why he doesn't change his course to agricultural engineering. He will need a lot more knowledge/experience if he's going to make a success of his machinery business.

He won't be able to get away with a bit of dodgy welding, some WD40 and a tin of Hammerite for much longer.

phoenix Thu 15-Jun-17 20:31:19

Good point merlot I hadn't thought of that blush but I still think David took the wrong approach.

merlotgran Thu 15-Jun-17 20:43:35

Yes. I agree. Typical of a farming father/son relationship.

I bet Pip gives him a hard time as well.

AyjayF Thu 15-Jun-17 22:13:59

Good to see (? hear) the backlash. University is not for everyone

Elrel Fri 16-Jun-17 20:23:41

Justin is two faced and a dissembler in so many ways. We really saw his true colours tonight.

AyjayF Mon 03-Jul-17 19:58:23

Oh dear. Phoebe has gone rogue!

MawBroon Mon 03-Jul-17 20:23:20

There's always got to be somebody, hasn'tbthere?
Kate was a spoiled brat, Pip likewise, Helen a snooty pain, now it's Phoebe who has turned into a toffee nosed jumped up little snob. Roy does NOT deserve this!

phoenix Mon 03-Jul-17 21:18:38

She'd be damn lucky to get a summer job now, even at Grey Gables with her Dad on side!

Most sensible, savvy students will have put applications in well before the end of term.

Luckygirl Mon 03-Jul-17 21:21:40

It is beyond credence that she has turned into such a brat - it feels as though they are just groping around for some "issue" to add to the plot. Just silly really.

merlotgran Mon 03-Jul-17 21:34:33

I hoped Phoebe might turn out to be the hard working, grounded one but they're all entitled brats.

This will be music to Josh's ears.

phoenix Tue 04-Jul-17 19:16:42

Manipulative little madam!

GracesGranMK2 Tue 04-Jul-17 19:18:12

I am so sad that they are turning Pheobe into her mother's daughter through and through but I suppose it's a possibility. Hopefully someone will make her more grounded but it's not going to be her grandmother!

merlotgran Tue 04-Jul-17 19:24:42

Tom for Ruairi's attorney?

Really?

AyjayF Tue 11-Jul-17 19:37:22

What a wonderful + moving episode this evening. A fitting tribute to Sara Coward

GracesGranMK2 Thu 13-Jul-17 21:31:06

They have written the spread of the news well although I found the actually episode hard to listen to sad

Do we know what bread Ruby is meant to be. It helps with the mind pictures to know. She is obviously quite a small dog.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 13-Jul-17 21:31:28

breed not bread!! So sorry

merlotgran Thu 13-Jul-17 22:12:12

I hope it's had all the necessary jabs seeing as Lilian's taking it out and about.

The Archers has been dullsville lately. Hopefully there will be some more interesting storylines coming along now with Caroline's demise. Probably we'll hear more from the ghastly Willyum.Whatever happened to the ponies found in Lynda,s field? Apart from the one Shula rehomed? Why does no one in Ambridge seems to think giving a puppy as an unsolicited gift undesirable? Will Roy and Lexie get together? Nothing really to get excited about though.

AyjayF Fri 21-Jul-17 07:48:35

Has Roy found love with Lexie?

merlotgran Fri 21-Jul-17 08:54:11

I'm finding the current Jill Archer storyline thoroughly unconvincing. If she were ten years younger, maybe it would make some sense and that's a realistic comment not an ageist one.

Whenever I hear mention of the Duxford Sisters I don't think of them running a restaurant but singing in close harmony at the Bridge Farm café.

phoenix Fri 21-Jul-17 10:42:51

Totally agree with you about Jill, merlot Also feel it's ridiculous for her to try and get Brian to cancel his reservation! Not a realistic storyline at all.
