It isn't something I usually comment on but

Leslie Joseph is 71 in two weeks time!!!!!!!

I find Ed quiet amusing. You have to give him credit for giving it his all. Even if it is rather lacking.
I found the chorography for his dance this week pretty bizarre.
I think Louise is brilliant

Who knew that Ed would turn out to be as comedic as he is, it's almost as if he could have another career choice. I loved Bruno's comment "that's the best worst dance ever". He's far from an accomplished dancer, but possibly the most entertaining. My final 3 are still Danny, Ore and Louise, although Claudia is also consistently good and Judge Rinder is throwing his heart and soul into it and improving week by week, so who knows!

Wobblybits Mon 14-Nov-16 08:38:19

Having started dancing earlier this year I can appreciate jst how well Ed has done, amazing improvement for someone who has not danced before and is not super fit. We all expected the Ed Balls we knew as a politician, we are seeing a very different man, one who is not afraid to give it his all and entertain everyone at his expense. I bet his wife and kids are proud of him. I suspect that after Blackpool his days will be numbered, or will we be surprised?

Charleygirl Mon 14-Nov-16 09:31:16

I have a feeling that Blackpool may well be Ed's last dancing venue. I think he is doing the jive this week so lets hope that the choreography and costume are not so bizarre as previous dances. I wonder if Yvette will travel to Blackpool?

I think that it may well be between Danny, Ore, Louise and Claudia. Any of them could win it.

As said I think that Ed will be saying goodbye this weekend and judge Rinder the following. He also has been good entertainment value.

DaphneBroon Mon 14-Nov-16 09:35:42

Yep, I entirely agree charleygirl, the "entertainment" dancers will very soon give way to the "serious" contenders - which is as it should be. Bring it on!

annodomini Mon 14-Nov-16 10:19:41

If Ed does go out after Blackpool, my bet for a 'dark horse' is Greg Rutherford who, as a non-dancer, has also made great progress and has turned into a real dancer under the guidance of the lovely Natalie. I was so glad that the judges chose him over the rather characterless Daisie last night. His paso made good use of his jumping ability!

NotTooOld Mon 14-Nov-16 10:59:47

gillybob- please tell us what Danny Mac said to his partner???

Well said, Wobblybits. At least Ed is cheering us up - well, most of us - in this currently rather sad world.

Jane10 Mon 14-Nov-16 11:39:26

Just looking at the Twittersphere, Ed has a massive following and so does Judge. We can see how comparatively few votes 'good' dancers get considering the judges scores eg Ore and Laura. I wouldn't be surprised if Ed goes all the way. Danny can't leave quick enough for me!

gillybob Mon 14-Nov-16 11:44:08

Danny can't leave quick enough for me

Me neither Jane10 He is so vain. Talk about "I love me", but I suspect he will get to the final .

gillybob Mon 14-Nov-16 11:46:47

It wasn't so much what he said NotTooOld but the way he said it... Even my DGD's noticed how nastily he said "Just leave it" to Oti when tried to wipe the lipstick smudge from his cheek.

gillybob Mon 14-Nov-16 11:48:21

DGD's wanted Ed to be in the dance off just so they could see the dance again, until I explained that would mean he would be voted off the program.

Jane10 Mon 14-Nov-16 11:52:17

Yes. He must be kept out of the dance off as the judges would definitely bin him. Big mistake for viewing figures.

Nandalot Mon 14-Nov-16 11:55:14

I felt really sorry for Daisy this week. She looked devastated when she was in the dance off for the third time. I don't really think she tried at all in the dance off. I think she had had enough of the humiliation. I don't know why she is so unpopular. Am I missing something?

Jane10 Mon 14-Nov-16 12:00:19

Daisy is lovely. I suppose that a so called supermodel just doesn't have the fan base. Its a shame but sheer popularity has affected her scores similarly to Laura.

Charleygirl Mon 14-Nov-16 12:01:30

Nandalot I still have no idea who she is, there maybe many like me so I have never voted for her.

gillybob Mon 14-Nov-16 12:04:24

I think most of the voters are probably women Nandalot and maybe many women have a "thing" against supermodels? I don't know just guessing.

DanniRae Mon 14-Nov-16 12:06:13

I didn't think that Daisy tried in the dance off either Nandalot. I suppose she had lost heart.

I can't stand Danny - I hope he doesn't win, he's big headed enough already.

Louise to win!!

And keep Ed in till the end!!!

Charleygirl Mon 14-Nov-16 12:11:23

The judges would pack up and go home if the final was between Ed and the judge!

I think that Danny expects to win but having had so many years in the wast end dancing on stage it is not a level playing field. He does appear to be very arrogant.

Jalima Mon 14-Nov-16 12:33:38

As a super model she is a great role model!

merlotgran Mon 14-Nov-16 13:22:40

I liked Daisy and I'm sorry she had to go when she is a far better dancer than Ed but Strictly is an entertainment programme not a serious dance competition until the later stages otherwise they wouldn't book any duffers in the first place.

Ed's comic timing is brilliant. I've been voting for him but probably won't after Blackpool as the remaining dancers are so good.

Candlefran Mon 14-Nov-16 13:26:52

I think Ed will, sadly, go out next.

BlueBelle Mon 14-Nov-16 14:02:22

Oh I do hope so Candlefran I too have never heard of Daisy mind you I often havent heard of the modern 'celebrities'

felice Mon 14-Nov-16 14:42:13

I wonder if they gave ED a 'proper' dance how he would get on. he has obviously improved ?

Ana Mon 14-Nov-16 14:58:03

Didn't they say he was doing a jive next week?

Jane10 Mon 14-Nov-16 15:02:58

I bet he doesn't go out!
