It isn't something I usually comment on but

Leslie Joseph is 71 in two weeks time!!!!!!!

petra Tue 22-Nov-16 14:40:10

JessM. He had the "my mum cut my hair" look all the way through his politicle career, nothing to do with the strictly hairdressers, although I think they might have advised him to let it grow a bit 'just in case' nudge nudge wink wink he gets to Blackpool and has to dance the jive. The ' my mum cut my hair' look wouldn't have been compatible with the rock& roll look. Just saying grin

JessM Tue 22-Nov-16 22:12:28

I'm just saying that they are carefully managing his "dopey middle aged dad" look. Accentuating his manly figure etc. smile

Ana Tue 22-Nov-16 22:14:03

Rubbish.

DanniRae Tue 22-Nov-16 22:27:08

Well what ever they are doing to Ed I LIKE IT!! He was cute at the start and he is still cute!! grin

JessM Wed 23-Nov-16 09:14:14

Rubbish? The programme? Ed's rock and roll look? The world in general? smile

Wobblybits Wed 23-Nov-16 11:25:33

I like the idea of Ed being cute --- that means there's hope for me. smile

Jane10 Wed 23-Nov-16 14:14:05

Can you post a video of you dancing Gangnam style so we can judge for ourselves Wobblybits?

Wobblybits Wed 23-Nov-16 16:44:12

LOL Jane, if only I could.

DaphneBroon Sat 26-Nov-16 19:29:53

Is it me?
Lovely dancing, but I am not loving the music! confused

suzied Sat 26-Nov-16 19:45:43

Loved Ed's tango LOL and Craig's comments!

Wobblybits Sat 26-Nov-16 19:48:39

Could this be the end of Ed, or will the public save him again ? I do hope so, he is so enjoyable.

Jane10 Sat 26-Nov-16 20:10:19

I've voted to save him and Judge again. Fingers crossed!

DaphneBroon Sat 26-Nov-16 20:24:40

They really didn't need to "manufacture" another opportunity for Ed to come last did they? That sort of thing is almost guaranteed to provoke the opposite reaction from the public.
And am I alone in being bored with (little) Claudia? And annoyed with the way the presenters speak to her as if she was 12?

Charleygirl Sat 26-Nov-16 20:26:11

Yes Jane I have as has a friend of mine. I thought that Ed was so entertaining tonight. I agree Daphne apart from Ed's dance I have not liked the music when anybody else was performing.

TerriBull Sat 26-Nov-16 20:26:15

Ed's run his course now, I have thoroughly enjoyed his performances and he has worked hard to maintain his place, everyone loves him, but now it's serious! He really ought to be in the dance off tomorrow.

Charleygirl Sat 26-Nov-16 20:31:36

I think that Claudia may be in the dance off but I do not know who the second person will be.

magpie123 Sat 26-Nov-16 20:31:50

Time for Ed Balls to go he can't dance and he's not even entertaining now, feel embarrassed watching him.

Azie09 Sat 26-Nov-16 20:39:20

Everyone can dance, they just need tuition and confidence. Well done Ed Balls who is not a natural dancer's shape but has learnt some nifty footwork and puts his heart into the character of the dance every week. I hope he and Katya survive for another week.

Wobblybits Sat 26-Nov-16 20:46:15

Azie09, sorry but not everyone can dance, sadly we can't as we are unable to walk let alone dance.

Jane10 Sat 26-Nov-16 21:13:31

Too true Wobblybitssad

suzied Sat 26-Nov-16 21:22:13

Danny Mac is a professional dancer and it shows. He is great but it's not a level playing field, Ore has never had any dance training and has progressed so much. The winner should be Louise or Danny based on dancing, but if the US election was based on politics - a certain D Trump wouldn't have won- the voting public aren't rational as we know all too well!

petra Sun 27-Nov-16 11:26:34

So nobody but me ( on here) found his air- thrusting crotch finally to the routine very embarrassing ? As my father would have said: a jokes a joke, but f**k a pantomime.
I notice Evette wasn't in the audience, perhaps she'd seen the routine and didn't want to be seen applauding it.

Granny23 Sun 27-Nov-16 11:53:50

DH - formerly a dance band drummer - is constantly criticising the music. For ballroom dancing the melody is secondary - it is the tempo that matters. How can the dancers produce a proper strict tempo dance when they are dancing to another rhythm? DH is constantly shouting at Len in particular who must know that the music is wrong for the dance.

As to Ed - he cannot dance. He does not have it in him. He performs like one of the dancing dog acts on BGT - well trained but not actually dancing.

Azie09 Sun 27-Nov-16 12:36:10

Being able to dance is a state of mind. Judging people as 'not able to dance' is a put down, the kind of thing all too prevalent in the UK, just so people don't 'get above themselves'. I can't dance anymore either so sorry, playing that card kind of back fired! But perhaps Ed Balls has some disability I can't see?

petra Sun 27-Nov-16 13:25:38

Ed Balls doesn't have a disability but he does have an inabillity to recognise that he's rubbish at dancing. The trouble is: all the hype has gone to his head.
