It isn't something I usually comment on but

Leslie Joseph is 71 in two weeks time!!!!!!!

nancyma Sun 09-Oct-16 12:44:57

I adored Ed Balls, it takes a lot of courage to do what he has done and I hope he's back next week

BlueBelle Sun 09-Oct-16 12:38:54

I really can't see the attraction of ed balls but hey ho each to their own I won't cry when he goes
I think Greg Rutherford was excellent last night
Danny mac is a great dancer but if he's a kinda pro then that puts me off a bit
I think Lesley Josheph was great but I do hope they aren't straining her to much she looked very uncomfortable when they finished and could hardly breath
Who do you thinks going out?
My bet is on Anastasia

Jane10 Sun 09-Oct-16 11:52:19

Ed is a breath of fresh air. He's so enthusiastic and puts all he's got into his dancing. It looks like the other dancers like him too. A genuinely nice bloke rather than an ex- politician. Good luck to him reinventing himself into a completely different life!

LullyDully Sun 09-Oct-16 11:49:13

Perhaps it ought to be like Master chef......the professionals and the amateurs. Someone who was in Wicked for 4.years( so says Google) should know a bit about dance, and of course all those performing singers likewise; unlike politicians, news journalists and sports people.

ninathenana Sun 09-Oct-16 11:47:04

Ed's the best "no hoper" ever, so enthusiastic and not what I would have expected of him.
Anastasia was pretty dull IMHO.

Agree jane10, Also for the contestants continuing with their day job during the show. Harder for them. Enjoyed this evening, laughed out loud at Ed Balls, enjoying his exuberance, can't warm to Anastasia after last week, thought Claudia had really improved, Lesley and Anton had a good routine, her energy is to be admired. All in all good entertainment.

Anniebach Sat 08-Oct-16 21:34:11

I didn't know that Jane, so unfair . I enjoy watching amateurs improving weekly , I like Ed Balls attitude, not a chance of getting far but enjoying the moment , and he does seem to be enjoying himself

Jane10 Sat 08-Oct-16 21:28:43

I think there should be a special prize for those ones with absolutely no previous dance experience. I'm quite depressed by Danny Mac. He's been a dancer in the West End. He'll win the show. That's just not right.angry

Charleygirl Sat 08-Oct-16 20:57:17

I never thought that I would see Ed Balls on TV in a bright yellow suit. His routine was more energetic last week but I would hate to see him leave.

I have never heard of Danny Mac but he must have had a lot of dancing experience to put on a performance like that tonight.

Ana Sat 08-Oct-16 20:52:44

Ed's dance was certainly energetic, but a bit of a let-down after last week, I thought.

merlotgran Sat 08-Oct-16 20:51:19

I do hope poor Lesley doesn't end up in the dance off. I'd hate to see her go through that again.

TerriBull Sat 08-Oct-16 20:46:27

Now they have all finished, stand out performances Ore and Claudia were super and Danny, I don't know anything about him but I gather from previous comments he may have had previous dance experience so if so. gives him an edge I hope Ed doesn't go home even though he's bottom again! he was great in a somewhat horrific way, but brave.

Linsco56 Sat 08-Oct-16 20:13:52

Considering Greg Rutherford is not from the world of entertainment and has no previous dance training, I think he's progressing really well and I really enjoyed his American Smooth.

Jane10 Sat 08-Oct-16 20:00:52

Me too!
The Singin in the Rain routine was fabulous.

BlueBelle Sat 08-Oct-16 19:50:39

I was really worried Lesley would expire after that
Yes obviously they played the sympathy vote with Anastasia
I love Judge Rinder

Jane10 Sat 08-Oct-16 19:29:55

Lesley's allowed to be knackered after that. Re Anastasia: her dance was a bit simple. As eg Bruno was wanting to resign re the Anastasia business last week I had thought his disapproval would show a bit more.

merlotgran Sat 08-Oct-16 19:22:42

Lesley Joseph looks knackered

BlueBelle Sat 08-Oct-16 19:19:04

Why should they be kind surely they should be honest

Jane10 Sat 08-Oct-16 19:14:48

Well they're all pals again. I thought the judges were very kind to Anastacia with the scores.

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 07-Oct-16 00:58:03

Apparently Bruno threatened to quit the show over Anastasia being excused the dance off. I would love to have been a fly on the wall backstage last Saturday night! It's a shame Ola Jordan's book is out this year and not next - we might have found out! grin

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 07-Oct-16 00:52:57

It shouldn't be a problem unless she injures herself further again during the performance. Goodness knows what will happen. The problem last week was she made the original injury worse during the routine. If that happens again, surely she will have to drop out? confused

Charleygirl Thu 06-Oct-16 22:12:26

What happens if she is in the dance off again this week? Will she decide not to dance?

WilmaKnickersfit Thu 06-Oct-16 20:06:48

To be fair she's now doing a different dance, so that could make a difference to getting medical permission to dance.

As far as I'm concerned if you can't dance in the dance off, you go home. You don't send the other guy home. You just don't.

Jalima Thu 06-Oct-16 19:33:56

They could also cut out the ritual humiliation of making the loser dance too, then there would be plenty of time!

Jalima Thu 06-Oct-16 19:31:53

They should have the dance-off at the beginning of this week's show then.
There would be enough time, all the faffing around they normally do and the daft filming of what they have been up to in the previous week!
