It isn't something I usually comment on but

Leslie Joseph is 71 in two weeks time!!!!!!!

BlueBelle Sat 08-Oct-16 19:19:04

Why should they be kind surely they should be honest

merlotgran Sat 08-Oct-16 19:22:42

Lesley Joseph looks knackered

Jane10 Sat 08-Oct-16 19:29:55

Lesley's allowed to be knackered after that. Re Anastasia: her dance was a bit simple. As eg Bruno was wanting to resign re the Anastasia business last week I had thought his disapproval would show a bit more.

BlueBelle Sat 08-Oct-16 19:50:39

I was really worried Lesley would expire after that
Yes obviously they played the sympathy vote with Anastasia
I love Judge Rinder

Jane10 Sat 08-Oct-16 20:00:52

Me too!
The Singin in the Rain routine was fabulous.

Linsco56 Sat 08-Oct-16 20:13:52

Considering Greg Rutherford is not from the world of entertainment and has no previous dance training, I think he's progressing really well and I really enjoyed his American Smooth.

TerriBull Sat 08-Oct-16 20:46:27

Now they have all finished, stand out performances Ore and Claudia were super and Danny, I don't know anything about him but I gather from previous comments he may have had previous dance experience so if so. gives him an edge I hope Ed doesn't go home even though he's bottom again! he was great in a somewhat horrific way, but brave.

merlotgran Sat 08-Oct-16 20:51:19

I do hope poor Lesley doesn't end up in the dance off. I'd hate to see her go through that again.

Ana Sat 08-Oct-16 20:52:44

Ed's dance was certainly energetic, but a bit of a let-down after last week, I thought.

Charleygirl Sat 08-Oct-16 20:57:17

I never thought that I would see Ed Balls on TV in a bright yellow suit. His routine was more energetic last week but I would hate to see him leave.

I have never heard of Danny Mac but he must have had a lot of dancing experience to put on a performance like that tonight.

Jane10 Sat 08-Oct-16 21:28:43

I think there should be a special prize for those ones with absolutely no previous dance experience. I'm quite depressed by Danny Mac. He's been a dancer in the West End. He'll win the show. That's just not right.angry

Anniebach Sat 08-Oct-16 21:34:11

I didn't know that Jane, so unfair . I enjoy watching amateurs improving weekly , I like Ed Balls attitude, not a chance of getting far but enjoying the moment , and he does seem to be enjoying himself

cornergran Sat 08-Oct-16 21:39:06

Agree jane10, Also for the contestants continuing with their day job during the show. Harder for them. Enjoyed this evening, laughed out loud at Ed Balls, enjoying his exuberance, can't warm to Anastasia after last week, thought Claudia had really improved, Lesley and Anton had a good routine, her energy is to be admired. All in all good entertainment.

ninathenana Sun 09-Oct-16 11:47:04

Ed's the best "no hoper" ever, so enthusiastic and not what I would have expected of him.
Anastasia was pretty dull IMHO.

LullyDully Sun 09-Oct-16 11:49:13

Perhaps it ought to be like Master chef......the professionals and the amateurs. Someone who was in Wicked for 4.years( so says Google) should know a bit about dance, and of course all those performing singers likewise; unlike politicians, news journalists and sports people.

Jane10 Sun 09-Oct-16 11:52:19

Ed is a breath of fresh air. He's so enthusiastic and puts all he's got into his dancing. It looks like the other dancers like him too. A genuinely nice bloke rather than an ex- politician. Good luck to him reinventing himself into a completely different life!

BlueBelle Sun 09-Oct-16 12:38:54

I really can't see the attraction of ed balls but hey ho each to their own I won't cry when he goes
I think Greg Rutherford was excellent last night
Danny mac is a great dancer but if he's a kinda pro then that puts me off a bit
I think Lesley Josheph was great but I do hope they aren't straining her to much she looked very uncomfortable when they finished and could hardly breath
Who do you thinks going out?
My bet is on Anastasia

nancyma Sun 09-Oct-16 12:44:57

I adored Ed Balls, it takes a lot of courage to do what he has done and I hope he's back next week

DanniRae Sun 09-Oct-16 14:07:13

Anastasia to go - I hope.

Still think Ed is really cute and so looks like he is enjoying himself.

Really looking forward to the results show tonight.

Wobblybits Sun 09-Oct-16 14:17:59

Ed Balls is showing what the ordinary guy can achieve, he has no dance or music background, is not super fit, he is about as ordinary as any dad. I'm sure he won't win, but I would love him to get to Blackpool. Some of the entrants have previous experience that gives them a huge advantage.

NotTooOld Sun 09-Oct-16 14:58:49

Quite agree about separate competitions for those with previous dance experience/training and for those with none. It does seem very unfair as it is at the moment.

I thought Ed Balls was really good this week - perhaps not a good dancer but definitely a good bloke. Who'd have thought it? I hope he stays in for now.

I felt for Lesley Joseph. Her dance was a really good effort but I was wishing someone would bring her a chair at the end as she looked so knackered. Anton was practically holding her up as they went back up the staircase. I hope she's alright now.

What about when Will Young told Len what he thought of his comment regarding the lack of salsa content in his dance? Good for Will. Len didn't take it at all well, though.

I think Anastacia may go tonight as I think she has probably lost the sympathy of the voters. I hope it's not Lesley or Ed.

Charleygirl Sun 09-Oct-16 15:26:03

There was a comment before the show started about Ed and Naga but the show had not begun so nobody had voted. It will be interesting to see if they are in the bottom two.

I do hope that Ed stays and I never thought that I would ever say that. He appears to be human with children at home dying from sheer embarrassment watching their dad dance on TV.

gulligranny Sun 09-Oct-16 17:18:05

I thought Ore's Singing In The Rain was totally charming and delightful, and little Claudia (she is SO tiny) was fantastic. OH is utterly beguiled by the beautiful Daisy. Anastacia was bleurgh, Ed Balls is adorable (words I never expected to say in a million years!).

Jane10 Sun 09-Oct-16 17:42:12

Surely Anastacia will go tonight!

petra Sun 09-Oct-16 17:53:06

I can only agree with everything that Craig said about Ed Balls. Detested the man when he was in government and still do.
