lady in the van, captain Phillips and pride. Have seen all but more than happy to watch them again. Anyone who hasn't seen Pride, have your Hankins at the ready.

I'm hoping that Peter Pan Goes Wrong (6pm on Hogmanay, I think) will be as funny as The Play That Goes Wrong, which IMO is the funniest play I've ever seen.

I thought Nativity 1 and Nativity 2 was brilliant too rubylady. I cam across them by accident, so had no idea whether they were new or old programmes.
I didnt catch all of the programmes, but the energy and talent of the kids was amazing. Very well casted.

Sherlock, Woman in a Van, Grantchester. Otherwise not too excited. Nothing can come up to Morecombe and Wise, but seen them so many times I know what's coming, I don't like comedians who use foul language so it limits the field a bit. I find the use of really bad swear words and obscene language insulting to me as a viewer, so it limits what I do watch.

There is a programme on about the Bronte sisters 'To Walk Invisible' on BBC1 on 29th Dec. That should be interesting.

I've watched Nativity! and Nativity2! the last two weeks and they have been brilliant! I've got Porridge Christmas Special recorded from 1975 so will enjoy that. I'm trying to avoid all the gushy Channel 5 films, so obvious the plots. I do love the quiz specials though too, looking forward to them. QI has been fabulous with Sandi on, very funny, and Have I Got News last week was funny with a handbag as a guest!

Maigret read the books in the 60s loved the series with Rupert Davies, Michael Gambon not sure about Rowan Atkinson but the first episode was beautifully filmed in Budapest but took me back to the Paris of the 60s/70s so I look forward to watching this.

Oh bugger! I wanted to watch that.

I have just checked for the Bishops Wife on playback and it is there. Why put a wonderful film like this on at 8.15am in the morning!!!

I enjoyed Lady and the van but wasn't bowled over I haven't seen the listings I just look on the day on freeview menu nothing much that's been suggested grabs me except for Halifax ... and maybe Pride that I missed at the cinema

The Bishops Wife was on this morning at 8.15am on BBC2. I have Virgin so you can just type in a title and it will record it.
Lady in the Van is Christmas Eve at 9pm on BBC2.

I like Paul O'Grady and I will watch Strictly, Frozen and the Lady in a Van. Apart from those there is little for me.

I'm looking forward to the Alan Bennet documentary type thing.
Also Last Tango in Halifax, The Bear Hunt, Mrs Brown's Boys, Midnight Mass from St Chad's Birmingham on Christmas Eve.

Its Lady in a Van for me and Call the Midwife,I have seen Lady in a Van a couple of times and find something new every time,OH has found a new Channel with boxed set documentaries so he will be pleased with that,I quite like most programmes except sci-fi and scary stuff,mind you I only have 3 days off over Christmas so most will be recorded for later.

.... and then he acts really well not being able to act!

Last Tango, and maybe Outnumbered and so far that's all.There may be a good old film or two to watch and we have plenty if dvd's if stuck for something ( various series of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Morse, Father Ted etc,)
there won't be time for a lot of tv watching though.

We just buy the Mail on Saturday as usual which has all the listings over the xmas and new year. Plus I like the magazine. Lot cheaper than Radio Times etc
