Bulimia is another thing difficult for someone to understand if they haven't suffered form it; she must have had a severe problem with self worth for it to have happened. She must have desperately wanted to feel desired, given that her husband preferred another and maybe to steal someone elses husband makes the achievement greater. Also there was less chance of the relationships giving Charles cause to divorce her given that they were probably never going to lead to anything permanent [just thinking out loud, by the way]. I had eating disorders throughout my marriage caused, probably by the fact that my husband put me down most of the time, although, thankfully, I never had full blown anorexia or bulimia. I've always said that Diana is the patron saint of dysfunctional women everywhere; she's certainly mine, anyway. Oh, and I do agree with Ana; she wasn't beautiful...then again, if you look at old Top of the Pops programmes, the 'look' of the time wasn't what would be regarded as beautiful now; maybe a 'chicken and egg' situation, though. And, she did have an inner beauty that shone through. Either way, she and Charles were probably the most mis matched people ever personality wise, although sometimes people so opposite to each other do have happy marriages so, perhaps there was a slim chance that it might have worked for them both.
