Just found this mystery series 8 episodes on the BBC IPlayer. All set in Wales and from BBC Wales. Seen the first two episodes which I thoroughly enjoyed. Just wish the whole series was ready to watch.

The best bit is the music.

Jane10 Fri 17-Aug-18 14:22:32

Oh good it's not just me who's found this painfully strung out. It could have been done in a well edited 2 hour special!

OldMeg Fri 17-Aug-18 14:25:06

Yes agree about the music! But having still ck it out this far I’m damned if I’m going to give up now.

Glitterknitbaby Fri 17-Aug-18 14:33:30

So glad it’s not just me who ‘doesn’t get it’
But do agree that the music is very good, along with the scenery
And I’m another one who’s not giving up after getting this far.

It is my favourite series this year and I am on my second watching of it.

I was out with a friend for supper last night and I started to recommend it to her but before I could name it she said K F and she loved it too.

I started to watch that series, name evades me, that was all the rage set a few 100 years ago with lots of rape and pillage, just hated it.

So it takes all sorts.

Still watching, second time arounders, wondering if the yellow mack comes from Sea Salt or Joules. Possibly neither.

The only other series other than this, that I find worth watching at the moment is" The Unforgotten." I believe there is some interesting stuff coming down the line though and hopefully another "Keeping Faith". The BBC should have the resounding thumbs up from the rest of the UK, that we all love this series so put it out nationwide please!

sodapop Fri 17-Aug-18 16:13:14

I am enjoying it despite issues with indistinct dialogue. The police inspector is scary.
My husband says the music is the best bit as well.

TerriBull I have a similar jacket in navy from Joules, they do a yellow one too.

Jane10 Fri 17-Aug-18 16:20:34

We don't all love it. It's all style over substance. Cut the music and agonising picturesquely and get on with it!!

TerriBull Fri 17-Aug-18 16:24:00

I thought so sodapop, no doubt there has been an upsurge in the sales of yellow jackets!, not the high viz ones though as worn by her brother in law grin

Agree about the indistinct dialogue at times, there is some mumbling going on, but I understand Faith when she gets into "out of her tree" mode usually when driving along. We can all sympathise with her though!

Jane10 Fri 17-Aug-18 17:08:06

Does tossing your hair about a lot count as acting? grin

MillieBear Fri 17-Aug-18 17:31:00

Ah TerriBull, Unforgotten, now you're talking! Gripping stuff.

Brunette10 Fri 24-Aug-18 08:29:47

Well they are certainly drawing out the conclusion of Keeping Faith. Last night I found very difficult to focus. One reason was I couldn't hear them properly, were they all mumbling? Seem to be speaking very quietly. Wasn't just me DH thought so too. Getting bit fed up with it now will be glad to see the conclusion. However after watching it all these weeks we will miss on Thursday as we are off on hols that day. (grin)

OldMeg Fri 24-Aug-18 08:36:53

I gave up on it after 5 minutes last night just CBA’d to watch any more.

merlotgran Fri 24-Aug-18 08:42:40

She's so annoying. Sitting on the floor to read her messages - who does that? Lying spread out on a table staring at the ceiling, who does that? Putting her feet up on the table and kicking off her shoes, I could go on but the worst bit for me was taking out her frustration on her father in law by pawing and hitting him in the car. No wonder he got out. hmm

Teetime Fri 24-Aug-18 08:44:17

I fell asleep on last night's episode but I find her irritating to. All this mad stuff with her hair and flinging herself about. Why does her hair keep changing colour too.

Cherrytree59 Fri 24-Aug-18 09:13:45

I have a Lighthouse AD at the bottom of this GN thread.
Guess what they have in their sale??
Yellow jacket/mack.smile

BlueBelle Fri 24-Aug-18 09:31:39

I’m enjoying it butttttt last nights when she was being arrested and then they suddenly ran in and arrested the arrester it was really a Keystone cops TV I thought it was ridiculous so that definitely spoiled it for me
I don’t mind her but can’t see her as a lawyer she’s just too hyper and way too emotional lawyers usually are or seen to be at least in their work cool and calm
One thing I can’t understand is her feelings for whatshisface She’s supposed to be going mad with grief for her lost husband but she obviously ( by her lack of an answer to father in law) is falling madly badly for Mr reformed criminal I could understand her turning to him for help even a kindly ‘father’ figure but would you be falling in lurve if you were desperate for your missing mate
For all the poster who have problems with the sound I do too PUT THE SUBTITLES ON I do it for every drama

LullyDully Mon 27-Aug-18 08:16:26

It is a very irritating drama, but will keep going until the end now. She is very annoying at times. Think husband is dead. Wales is definitely the star but who would have thought all that crime was going on.

eazybee Mon 27-Aug-18 12:02:54

Watched last week's episode under the impression that it WAS the last one, so very irritated until a voice told me to make sure I watch next week's thrilling episode to find out what happens. Totally confused. Who was the sinister person who appeared by the side of the Police Inspector as she watched the Dentist's car burst into flames?
As a solicitor is Faith worth £220 an hour?
Just had a thought.
Was it her father in law who said: 'we don't really know who Faith is or where she comes from?'
Is it possible that Evan, having learned his father isn't his father, somehow knows his real father is Faith's father also?
Just saying.

Anniebach Mon 27-Aug-18 13:16:24

I am worried about me, I see nothing unusual in her behaviour blush

Greyduster Tue 28-Aug-18 14:51:18

Blimey, eezybee, that’s getting a bit convoluted and no mistake!

overthehill Thu 30-Aug-18 23:25:53

Just watched the last one. I am left confused, found it difficult trying to keep up with what was going on with the money, villains, corrupt police officers etc.
When Evan showed up at the end, was this for real or a flash back???
Is it geared up for another series?

ninathenana Fri 31-Aug-18 07:24:32

Ooh SPOILER ALLERT overthehill
smile
I was very suprised at the final scene.
easybee glad it wasn't just me who found the whole money thing confusing. I still don't know if Evan is corrupt. confused

Greyduster Fri 31-Aug-18 08:31:09

Glad it’s over - I only had half an eye on it last night and the ending was confusing, and lacked credibility. Faith herself was very annoying and obviously at the back of the queue when common sense and professionalism were dished out!

sodapop Fri 31-Aug-18 09:11:07

For a drama which began well it didn't end well for me at least. I agree with greyduster.
It was muddled and confusing. If there is another series I will give it a miss.
