I think insecure ould be a better word than sensitive. And always jealous/suspicious of Ross.

Just reading that he films a lot in Bristol and Bath, must watch out for him

I prefer him to Poldark

This is a tad shallow comment but I am finding Poldark less good looking as the series has progressed.

I really surprised myself in feeling a jolt of sympathy for George when Elizabeth died. Yes he was after power, status, money, the house etc. etc., but it seems his love for her was actually quite genuine

Can't wait for the next series now!

Do you think now Elizabeth has gone that George will truely accept Valentine as his son or will he still believe he is Ross's child?

Blinko Tue 31-Jul-18 08:47:44

I think now that Elizabeth is no longer there to temper his more vicious urges, George will sink to even lower tricks to achieve his ends.

Yes, I'm inclined to agree with you Blinko. Also, he'll likely find some way of blaming Ross for her death and then his rage against him will truly know no bounds.

The doctor has spotted the vial so somehow that will be followed up. Is this all in the books? Oh dear, I might have to start reading them.

I always liked George best. He's much more interesting. His devious uncle is good too.
Glad to hear there's to be a new series but God knows what can be included this time. There's been mine trouble, money trouble, war, duel, court cases, tortured romances - what next?!

I think Jack Farthing's portrayal of George Warleggan has been quite brilliant; conveying a wealth of emotion by just the raising of an eyebrow or the tightening of the mouth. I just wanted him to realise what he had - a beautiful wife, lovely home, children, wealth - and simply be happy, but then I suppose there wouldn't be a story!

I did find myself getting a teensy bit fed up with the sainted Dr. Enys, though.

Jalima1108 Thu 02-Aug-18 15:23:06

I always preferred Dr Enys to Poldark - but you're right, gulligranny, he is becoming rather too good!

Perhaps there is something appealing about the 'bad boy' ie George - do we want to reform him perhaps (then he might not be so appealing!) grin
