Well, we have to have a thread each season don't we! grin

Katie Piper was announced on Breakfast this morning. I am full of admiration for her and can't wait to see how she gets on.

annodomini Mon 26-Nov-18 09:54:17

I want to see Ashley and Fay in the dance-off together. Much scratching of judges' heads would be fun to watch.

callgirl1 Mon 26-Nov-18 18:27:33

They wouldn`t know which way to turn, would they Anno? It was a little unfair of the judges last night when they announced their decisions, they usually comment on how both pairs have upped their game, but last night Craig said it was a no brainer, and all Bruno could go on about was Ashley`s hips!

DanniRae Mon 26-Nov-18 19:02:21

Has anyone seen Neil Jones doing a sketch on It Takes Two dressed as Nell someone or other? He is supposed to be teaching a dance along with a very weird looking women and he looks completely weird too.
I literally can't watch it because it so awful shock

Sparklefizz Mon 26-Nov-18 19:46:20

I didn't see that, but there has always been something about him that I don't like and I don't even know what it is. It's not as if I'm a fan of Katya's but I just think he's a bit creepy.

callgirl1 Mon 26-Nov-18 21:22:59

Oh, I like Neil Jones, but must admit to hating those sketches, don`t know whose idea they were.

What a superb show tonight!
Loved the abba opening number and the judges participation.
Stacey - mesmerising and highly emotional !
Charles - strong and sexy.
Faye - very engaging and technically excellent.
Joe - entertaining but lacking something
Lauren - beautiful and confident but not strong enough to keep her in I think!

GrannyGravy13 Sat 01-Dec-18 22:15:04

Brilliant show, I would love Stacey to win as she has no previous dance experience. My second choice would be Joe.

Thoroughly enjoyed the ABBA opening sequence ??

cornergran Sat 01-Dec-18 23:36:18

Yes, we’re backing Stacey and Joe too. Suspect Joe may struggle but Stacey will do well. We’ll see smile.

callgirl1 Sun 02-Dec-18 00:23:47

I really did enjoy tonight`s show. I would love Stacey to win, she`s been great every week, but particularly last week and tonight. I`d also like to see Charles in the final as well, loved their rumba, I don`t like the overtly sexy ones that some produce, this was nice, sweet.

Charleygirl5 Sun 02-Dec-18 09:26:06

I also enjoyed last night's show. I have a feeling that Ashley and Charles will be in the dance off because they do not appear to be very popular with the TV audience, irrespective of how they perform. If that happens I think that Charles may be saying goodbye.

I think the final maybe between Stacey and Joe and my money is on Stacey.

Sarahmob Sun 02-Dec-18 09:30:25

I’m backing Stacey to win, although I also like Faye and Giovanni. Just don’t want Ashley to win! I think Charles is going this weekend which is a shame as I think he’s a good dancer.

Rosieroe Sun 02-Dec-18 09:32:08

Much as I like Joe I thought his performance wasn’t good last night - but the judges thought he was wonderful. I can’t understand how Charles was at the bottom of the leaderboard after being told his was the best male rumba they’d ever seen. I so miss Len.

Faye and Giovanni were superb.

Sparklefizz Sun 02-Dec-18 09:50:29

Faye and Giovanni were absolutely brilliant, I thought, and the choreography was fantastic, but Stacey's performance was so emotional and moving and I want her to win.

Rosieroe I agree, Joe's performance wasn't as good as I was expecting, but I don't particularly like the Samba anyway.

Darcey was a bit off the mark last night. She criticised someone's arm (can't remember whose) and then gave them a 10.

NotSpaghetti Sun 02-Dec-18 09:55:36

I’m with Sparklefizz on this - Faye and Ashley both have years of dancing experience which is not only SO unfair but seems to me to be against the spirit of Strictly.
Still don’t understand how these two were invited on the show - obviously don’t blame them for accepting.

pensionpat Sun 02-Dec-18 10:07:33

I think it must be more and more difficult for them to find “celebs”. Plus it might be that the dancing is less watchable if all were no -dancers.

crystaltipps Sun 02-Dec-18 10:11:03

In the final it’s more of a popularity contest than a dance contest, so I think the bookies favourite is Stacey. Those who have danced professionally on stage, however good they are, don’t tend to win.

petra Sun 02-Dec-18 10:18:27

I think the voting public see through Charles' false modesty, as I do.
When other celebs have given a good performance they know it and accept the praise, but Charles puts on his "oh no, you can't be talking about me?" face.

DanniRae Sun 02-Dec-18 12:51:43

I've seen that face too petra!!
I really like Stacy and think she will win and that makes me happy for Kevin too - he has been unlucky in the final so many times.

Brunette10 Sun 02-Dec-18 12:56:56

I too am a Strictly fan. I think Faye and Ashley are excellent but they both come from a performing background in some sort of way. I would love for Stacey to win, think she is genuine and her dancing for a non-dancer is absolutely outstanding. Not sure who will go tonight.

Teetime Sun 02-Dec-18 13:42:57

I agree Charles is a bit 'Moi' when they say nice things about him - he is very easy on the eye though. I expect I am the only one who didn't like the Lonely Goatherd Charleston- dont like the music or the dance. I like Laurens dance - beautiful.

EllanVannin Sun 02-Dec-18 13:50:44

I've always liked Stacey-------ordinary girl, loads of talent and doesn't take it as seriously as the others. A chilled-out girl who I'd put money on for her to win.

EllanVannin Sun 02-Dec-18 13:54:26

I watched a programme with Stacey interviewing the homeless through the night and she came across as wonderfully sympathetic without being gushing. There's no side to her and she's so unaffected unlike the rest of them .

Jane43 Sun 02-Dec-18 16:35:24

I like Stacey too as she has no dance training, making her performances even more amazing. I have liked her documentaries for years - the ones on the lack of police interest in disappearing Native American girls in Canada and ISIS are very good.

EllanVannin Sun 02-Dec-18 17:04:58

It'll make my Christmas if she wins Jane.

DanniRae Sun 02-Dec-18 17:28:32

Well going by people's posts on here I'd say that Stacy is almost certain to win.
Hoorah for her and Kevin!!!!!!!!!
