and why does he have a double 'n' at the end of his name?

I believe he's a comedian/actor and from what I've been reading today, he added the extra n to Sean in homage to some star or other that he is in awe of. Yes I need to get a life!

Well apparently it was in homage to an actor called Seann with two ns who played his favourite character in American Pie (a film I’ve never seen).The character was racist, homophobic and misogynistic, according to what I read while browsing from my bed this morning. Yes, I’m way too invested in this. Probably because Seann with two ns was one of the very few celebs I’d heard of in Strictly and I was rooting for the eejit.

Perhaps they could let him go and bring his (ex) girlfriend in instead. She could partner Katya’s husband.

Having had a close friends AC compete in SCD this sort of thing goes on every year. They got caught on camera, she is the professional and married, he is yet another so called celebrity thinking with what's in his underpants instead of his brain.

Just seen this too but, he didn’t actually apologise to his girlfriend, just in general, said he didn’t really want to comment, then went to great length to say he wasn’t the person being portrayed, loathsome man.

They both apologised to their partners on Twitter rather than grovelling in person!

I did like her ‘ I have taken the cat ‘ good for her.

He hasn't apologised directly to his girlfriend at all, which I think shows just what sort of person he is.

He seems more concerned about how he might be thought of by the public, rather than thinking how he has hurt his partner of 5 years. She is well out of it.

I understood that the apology was for the benefit of followers of Strictly; apologies to their partners should be personal and private.
The person most to blame is the one who photographed the foolish couple, and then posted it. Unpleasant.

I had never heard of Seann Walsh before this year’s Strictly. We all know about him now.

He was one of the few Strictly contestants I had heard of, Alima. He’s a very funny comedian. Not that his recent behaviour’s anything to laugh about.

I'd never heard of him either, not my humour from the little I've now seen on youtube. He was never going to win anyway, but likely to stay a few more weeks thanks to Katya and Neils' brilliant choreography. It's a shame for the show though.

I assume this will escalate the ticket sales for his next tour, and give him lots of new material. Seems he's really not bothered about the break up, so he will come out of this OK and many more people will know his name. Mmmm?

I really want Kevin to win the glitterball. And this year he has a partner who is a quick learner. Top of the leader-board this week - in the right direction, I think.

Katya is good choreographer but her behaviour is not professional, the apology was no doubt rung out of her to save her job, shame for her partner. Sean obviously not bothered about his girlfriend, but she's made a meal out of it, that relationship couldn't have been right.The one that ruins it for me is Oti, you can't shut her up, she wants all the limelight, dancing manically about and screaming when interviewed, that's never right. I love the dancing and all the others in the show, but I do think fame has gone to the heads of the couple mentioned.

Jeannette Manrara is the show-off in my opinion. When they are reading out the Ts & Cs, she is always in the front grabbing the limelight. I find her irritating.

Re Seann and his girlfriend, he "gaslighted" her, called her "Mental and a psycho" and blamed her for doubting him .... and then the photos surfaced which showed she had been correct all along. Good on her for dumping him, I say!

I agree Sparkle my DH and I watch for Jannette in the front every week and there she is giving it large, you never see her tucked away on the back row, mind you she's very short so I guess you wouldn't
