When I first saw this - last year? Earlier this year? I was underwhelmed.
However I am realising that my mood at any time must make a difference as I really enjoyed it tonight, laughing out loud at quotations such as “I am for Argos”
The ending, Prospero’s speech from The Tempest was what DD2 read at her father’s Requiem Mass and the more often I hear it, the more I think Shakespeare knew a thing or two about life , and indeed the end of life. .
:
“Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits, and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd tow'rs, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve,
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on; and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.”
