I think Tom is right to be worried about all these cards and £15,000 debt. Is this just the tip of the iceberg ? And as for Roy saying Tom may have overreacted tonight Mmmm
So do I. Maybe the debt collectors just haven't caught up with Nocasha yet. Were we ever told why her previous relationship ended? I can't help thinking this is going to be marry in haste ...
Why are the Bridge Farm Archers so worried about money? Didn't they make 900K from the Elliott land sale?
What do we think of Jakob? I can't wait for the scene in the village shop when Susan tries to thumbscrew information from him.
Did I hear Roy mention nets? The countdown to the season and The Ambridge Single Wicket begins. Will there be enough tired men to make up a team or will women come to the rescue again?
Peggy 'letting Emmer go' seems harsh to say the very least. Especially as even Peggy oughta realise that Kate couldn't clean her plate from the table, much less keep the cottage to the standard Peggy expects and is used to.
What about crooked Tim, trying to lead Ed astray then saying he doesn't need him when Ed quite rightly declines to get involved in dodgy stuff. We haven't had a Grundy in HMP for a while, it would be awful if the next turned out to be Ed. give the boy a break.
He wants Ed to do some dodgy driving, phoenix. Can't remember what he wants delivered but sounded like something HMRC might be interested in.
I'm looking forward to an encounter between Jakob and Tracey Horrobin although he might be another Charlie Thomas and a smitten Adam will invite him round to look at his hydroponics.
He said it would be short-notice, night-time driving job delivering chemicals, herbicides and pesticides that hadn't gone through the "usual paperwork" so presumably either knock off or maybe banned substances.
Maybe even Peggy is feeling the pinch a bit. Presumably she is still paying Christine's care fees for The Laurels but it's more likely just a contrived storyline to add to Ed and Emma's financial woes and push Ed into the dodgy driving job.
I noticed that former editor Keri Davies is back writing scripts so look out for more sensational stories.
Has Jakob been written in as a romantic interest for Shula? Can't get a handle on how old he is. On first few listens he sounds about as exciting as Alistair and not a man who would open up in conversation but early days. Maybe an evening in the cider shed would loosen him up.
Susan is a brilliant character, many of her lines remind me of Corrie at its best. I stopped watching several years ago because it became all death and devastation, totally lacking the pathos and humour that was Corrie's foundation. The Archers is my only soap and I love it.
I do hope that Freddie benefits from helping at the Stables. Working with horses is a great distraction from things Freddie needs distracting from.
