I'm starting this new thread as apparently our other one was over a year old!! shock

We'll have to do more gossiping to prevent this happening again.

Here's a link to the old one.

Is it a pregnancy or the first sign of menopause?

phoenix Sun 09-Feb-20 17:52:44

So, the nominations for the most self centred person in Ambridge are: (rustling noise)

Kate

Josh

Gavin

(Envelope opening noise)

And the award goes to..............

eGJ Sun 09-Feb-20 17:13:31

Well Kate’s news came out of the left field didn’t it? No sure how Jakob is going to react after how Kate has destroyed his peace and quiet this week!?

pinkwallpaper Thu 06-Feb-20 20:20:51

Why does no one in the archers ever have cancer? Considering that at least a quarter of the population get it in some form, statistically there should be cases on the show. The only one I remember us Ruth and that was about 30 years ago.

merlotgran Thu 06-Feb-20 19:22:49

Nice one, Rex!

merlotgran Tue 04-Feb-20 18:16:23

Yes, Kate. Don't boss Jakob around too much. I want your relationship to last as you are a welcome change from all the lovey-doveyness between Kirstie and Philip, Hellin and Lee and Tom and Natasha (when is she going to launch that credit card into action again?)

I somehow think Jakob is more than a match for Kate though.

Vegan stir-fry....with steak! grin

Last night had me shouting at the radio!

Surely at her age, Peggy would know you can't catch a cold from just being in a cold house?

It's caused by a virus, you daft bat!

And as for Kate expecting Jacob to cook her supper because she's "so tired" Jacob has actually been at work all day Kate, not fannying around looking up stuff on the internet and drinking chamomile tea!

Still, at least Susan was surprisingly supportive of Neil, although we all know what it means when she makes chilli for what she referred to as "tea" wink

Storm in a B cup!

EthelJ Sun 19-Jan-20 17:13:29

I think it's B@ambridge. But I much prefer The Bull

NotSpaghetti Fri 17-Jan-20 21:56:09

Suppose it could be "b@ambridge"
??

NotSpaghetti Fri 17-Jan-20 21:55:05

My husband says it's "The B @Ambridge"

Patsy70 Fri 17-Jan-20 21:17:47

I think it's 'The Bee at Ambridge'.

merlotgran Fri 17-Jan-20 20:20:26

Is it the B at Ambridge,
or the Be at Ambridge,
or the Bee at Ambridge? confused

eGJ Thu 16-Jan-20 21:27:00

And why was Gav after the lap-top?
That bonding session went well!grin

merlotgran Wed 15-Jan-20 18:37:07

Yes he did, katie1. It was very brief but for a while it looked like Adam might have been tempted to follow Charlie to Scotland.

Kirstie's house layout is a bit weird. I thought you had a shower room as an ensuite and a 'family' bathroom leading off the landing so everyone could use it.

Why the other way round?

katie1 Wed 15-Jan-20 18:13:20

Didn't Charlie Thomas have a brief fling with Adam ?

phoenix Tue 14-Jan-20 14:05:32

Anyway, wouldn't it have made more sense for Alistair to ask Shula if he could use the bathroom at The Stables?

Iam64 Mon 13-Jan-20 20:36:14

Thank heavens for Kate currently -she's a continuing source of humour and incredulity

merlotgran Mon 13-Jan-20 20:29:45

Thinking ahead to Kate's team bonding experience. Anyone know what happened to Goat Yoga?

Iam64 Mon 13-Jan-20 20:14:28

Who knows about Tom/Natasha? It seemed doomed from the start didn't it.

In my script merlot, Kirsty realises Philip doesn't quite fit her image of a life partner or husband. I'd love her to meet someone, anyone, who she fell head over heels in love with, some one who made her feel like she's the only woman in the world. Maybe its the way the sw's are playing around, changing characters personalities at a whim but he's never felt quite right for Kirsty.
I'm with Phoenix and others - yes Alistair should talk to Philip about what a horror his son is.

merlotgran Mon 13-Jan-20 20:04:09

I do hope their wedding goes ahead, Iam. It would be unfair of the scriptwriters to heap more heartbreak on Kirsty. Maybe it'll be ghastly Gav's relationship that will flounder.

Phoenix, I too think Kirsty should allow Alistair to tell Philip what a first rate prick his son is.

Where is the Tom/Natasha storyline going?

grannysyb Mon 13-Jan-20 19:48:00

Tonight, Alistair spotted that Kirsty had been scratched by a kitten. Are the scriptwriters setting her up to have cat scratch fever?

Iam64 Mon 13-Jan-20 19:43:45

merlotgran, what's your thoughts on whether Kirsty will marry Phllip? I'm not convinced she and Tom are totally over each other.

Yes Neil with join Rex in rearing happy pigs who they prepare as well as they can for slaughter. Hannah deserves to end up in that culvert where we all expected the Polish worker who was on to Rob, to finally appear (as a body , killed by Rob)

Sara65 Mon 13-Jan-20 19:22:32

Me too Phoenix, isn’t he a nasty piece of work!

phoenix Mon 13-Jan-20 19:20:11

Well! shock

If I was Kirsty, rather than asking Alistair to not say a word to anyone, I'd be asking him to tell Philip everything he heard!
