It’s just started and I’m liking it straightaway! Stellar cast. Imelda Staunton (love her). Francesca Anuns.
The series follows three adult siblings – Helen, Jake and Natalie – whose lives are thrown into disarray when their recently widowed mum Vivien declares she’s fallen for a new man, retired GP Mark.
As Vivien nears her 70th birthday, her children grow suspicious when Mark begins to shift her priorities away from her family.
The inspector was played by David Bamber, been in lots of stuff, Midsomer Murders, and he played a drippy curate in a Prude and Prejudice, or some other Jane Austen series.
Urmston I think he, the detective, David Bamber, has been in things like Grantchester. I was also wondering whether George, Helen's husband, was the short sighted vet in the Specsaver advert, when trying to revive a furry hat? He looks like him.
Yes, the body bag puzzled me too - I thought there were two victims, one in body bag (dead) and one still alive in hospital. But it looks like it was just Mike all along. Brilliant ending, especially when he opened his eyes! I've really enjoyed this programme, it had an end I understood!
Oh Merlotgran Mary spiking Mark's drink!! Now there's a thought. I did wonder what the significance was of Mary handling the bottle of tablets - either she was drugging Viv, or spiking Mark's drink - hmm, not all the ends have been tied, have they?!!!
I was wondering about the body bag too .? I loved it and I hope there is a series 2 I like it being on consecutive nights I don’t have time to forget it Good four nights entertainment
Great ending I wasn't expecting that !! Surely there will be another series, can't leave us hanging like that , I thought Mary was odd all the way , now she's got her feet back under Viv,s table , or so she thinks ,
