What are you watching tonight?

I watched The Nest tonight and thought it was really gripping - and great acting.

I do hope it doesn't have a really depressing ending.

That’s why I’ve chosen not to watch it eleothan can’t somehow deal with any emotional tragedy at the moment. Now a good murder? is definitely something I can watch.

Twin, stuck it for 10 minutes. Where was the mutilated body of the Eastern European prostitute, where was the angst ridden central character and her unfeasibly handsome Papa,where were the muted shades, the anonoymous and yet so stylish appartments, shots of bearded men and meaningful close ups of trees and rocks ...all presented with a haunting theme tune and some strange hurdygurdy language?

My friend’s granddaughter is playing Frankie in The Nest, but I haven’t seen it yet. Wee Madison has an autoimmune disease which means a lot of time in hospital for her.
I’m enjoying The English Game, and Belgravia.

Just watched Notting Hill. Sadly, didn't spot it was on so missed the first 8 mins (but thank doG for +1). Big soppy smile on my face all the way through. Am now thinking of buying a copy, or the soundtrack.

I've watched After Life on Netflix, it's written by Ricky Gervais and he plays the main character.
I liked it.

Watching Sliding Doors

We're tending to stay up late watching telly at the moment. A better night's sleep if we're really tired so we'll be watching the last episode of Alexandra Tolstoy's Horse People on BBC4 at 11pm.

Such a change to have a presenter who actually knows her stuff and is a good rider. The episode about Spanish bullfighting was a challenge to watch but I'd rather see the truth and form my own opinion.

Tonight she's in America. This program is a good watch for horse lovers.

Started watching The Nest. Gripping stuff.

I haven’t heard of Horse People. How could I have missed that? Anything to do with horses would always be top of my list. Hopefully I can find it on catch up?

I am enjoying Race across the world and Pilgrimage to Istanbul. Mainly because I'm itching for a holiday. Will watch Jane Eyre from the NT on YouTube this weekend and the new series of Killing Eve starts on iPlayer on Monday!

I have watched the first episode of Twin and enjoyed it. The story didn't get going until near the end of the episode.

Last night we watched a couple of episodes of "London Kills" as several people on GN had recommended it, thought it was quite watchable, not sure why it was consigned to afternoon viewing.

Other than that, I will admit to watching an episode or two of "Malory Towers" for pure nostalgia.

Yes I too, thought the Norwegian "Twin" was quite good Pittcity and love "Race across the World" because they are racing to a few places I've been to.

Other stuff, I'm enjoying "The Nest" as it's unfolding it is becoming more compulsive viewing. "Belgravia" ok for a Sunday evening Glad "The Liar" has come to an end, found it very good in the beginning, but towards the end had had enough of it, I like Joanne Frogget as an actress, but boy did she look miserable, understandable I know given the situation she was acting out, but her unhappy face was beginning to get to me. "This Country" if we need a laugh and to take our minds of all the depressing statistics. I always check on BBC Iplayer to see what new films they've put up there, often the really good ones such as "Manchester By The Sea" have seen and am not a fan of the action men genre. I've watched quite a good, little known ones, last week I found one I enjoyed featuring Helen McCrory, can't remember the title something about flying. Also started watching "Wallender" watchable, albeit dreary Scandi noir, but may well watch some more if there's nothing better on. We've watched some very good series on Netflix, need to look for recommendations as to others.

starbird; I watched Horse People on your recommendation. I have seen it before but it's certainly worth watching again. Did you watch the programme about Alexandra last night? What an eventful life she's had.

What channel is Malory Towers on? I've just remembered that there was a theatre production of it on later this year that I was going to go to .

Nothing, I have a pile of books, correction: several piles of books that I am at last reading and the sweater I started to knit for the winter just gone. I hope to finish it before next winter.
