Seeing as we're all staying in a little lot more, we'd imagine the telly is getting a fair amount of attention. If you want to chat about whatever you're watching while it's on (or the next day) please do check our Telly forum topic and join in if there's already a conversation running. If not, why not start one? There's almost certainly someone else on here who's watching alongside you and would love the opportunity to dissect the plot/suggest whodunnit/debate actor's suitability to role/just want to say they love or hate it. grin

Bluebell
And on Britbox I have watched Upstairs Downstairs, The Jewel in the Crown, Clocking Off, Darling Buds of May, Unforgotten, Cracker, Forsyte Saga, Bleak House, little Dorrit, Cranford, etc etc. With many more I have earmarked from BBC and ITV. Well worth the £5.99 monthly fee. You can have a 30 day free trial too. It is not like Netflix, which I do not have but I believe has a lot of American programmes (which I do not like).

BlueBelle Tue 31-Mar-20 04:30:48

Netflix has never beckoned me because I really don’t like American programmes (not being nasty) they just don’t do it for me but if Britbox is just redoing all the old U.K. programmes that won’t do it for me either
Thanks for clarifying that littleannie I didn’t know what it showed Most of those you mention I have already watched or chosen not to so
At least it’s clarified it for me I m just not nostalgic for those old shows I appreciate knowing though £5.99 a month seems very reasonable if you like to review old favourites
Thanks

Anyone watch Liar last night how are you finding it ?
I still find the dipping backwards and forwards quite confusing and thought the sisters sudden involvement a bit unrealistic

Auntieflo Tue 31-Mar-20 12:01:35

Last week BBC 1 was showing "LondonKills", during the afternoon, so I recorded, and enjoyed it.
I think it had been on before, but I didn't remember all of the ins and outs.
This week they are showing Series 2.
So have scheduled to record it. I missed Monday's so watched it on catchup last night.
I still have a couple of episodes of Belgravia to watch, and haven't watched any of Liar yet.
So plenty to be going on with.

I'm watching The Steph Show on channel 4. Steph McGovern live from her house chatting to people in their houses.

Eloethan Tue 31-Mar-20 16:21:54

Was it good Pittcity?

Pittcity Tue 31-Mar-20 16:51:36

Eleothan it was a bit like the One Show. Steph is very natural. A bit of light hearted newsish entertainment.

Netflix Virgin River. New series. Really good!

Witzend Wed 01-Apr-20 16:41:24

More Unforgotten courtesy of Netflix (It’s not American, BTW, BlueBelle).

mary51 Wed 01-Apr-20 20:50:56

I'm touring Yellowstone at the mo!

lemongrove Wed 01-Apr-20 22:02:00

Belgravia, watching two episodes that I recorded.
It’s not all that brilliant I have to say, and am finding it off putting that Tamsin Greig and her screen husband from Friday Night Dinners are both in this.I keep expecting amusing things to happen.
Which is exactly what I didn’t get ( amusing things) when watching the first episode of the new series of FND’s the other night.....lame and crass dialogue and frankly cringeworthy plot.Such a shame, as I enjoyed the first series.

EllanVannin Wed 01-Apr-20 22:16:32

Jack the Ripper.

Luckygirl Wed 01-Apr-20 22:24:01

The Trouble with Maggie Cole on ITV. The first episode felt a bit lightweight, but it has taken off really well. I can recommend it.

FlexibleFriend Wed 01-Apr-20 22:47:02

Gray's anatomy x 2 on sky witness.

Looks like it's going to be another food related night. Jamie Oliver's Keep Cooking and Carry On and Gordon, Fred and Gino's American Road Trip.

Not in the mood for anything serious like Question Time or Hospital.

Callistemon Thu 02-Apr-20 16:55:02

DH grumbles about the food programmes.
He used to have meetings some evenings, but alas no longer.

merlotgran Thu 02-Apr-20 16:58:08

Lockdown has had a weird effect on my DH. He has become addicted to food programmes {grin]

Callistemon Thu 02-Apr-20 17:06:33

No change here with DH but I find I'm getting grumpy at travel programmes, except for Michael Portillo of course.

We watched Netflix "The Irishman" over 3 nights, thought it was excellent. Working our way through "This Country" which I find hilarious, often put an episode on after the news for some light relief.

Last night I watched episode 2 of The Nest, quite good. Then I found Wallander on BBC Iplayer which I've only watched occasionally before, watchable albeit rather dreary.

“One Man, Two Guvnors”, with James Corden from the NT on YouTube
Jaw-achingly funny!

GagaJo Fri 03-Apr-20 00:28:21

Purpledaffodil, have sent you a PM. I'm currently watching ALL of the Cold Feet series on an online site. .

This week, I have been watching Last Tango in Halifax. I hated it when it first came out. I've since aged A LOT (stress) and identify a little more now!

oldgimmer1 Fri 03-Apr-20 09:47:48

The Crown on Netflix is good. Trying to find something else on Netflix now.

WeeGranny178 Fri 03-Apr-20 12:22:19

I love The Repair Shop the experts are so good I've got a list of thing they could repair for me

merlotgran Fri 03-Apr-20 12:36:09

and Gordon, Fred and Gino's American Road Trip.

Well, that was a load of sh*te!

All we need in these troubled times is a programme featuring three egotistical numpties. hmm

Sarahmob Fri 03-Apr-20 13:24:58

Loved ‘one man, two Guvnors’ last night. Can’t wait to see what they’re offering next Thursday.
