If you enjoyed Series 1 of this drama Series 2 starts tonight at 9pm on channel 5.

Just watched the last hour on catch up as I was too tired to sit up any longer last night. Rather harrowing, and so sad really.
Yes, series number 3 to follow in a couple of years time I think, as Jim is not going to get away with killing Kian as Owen knows something is up.
Fiona will have died by then, and we will all have forgotten what happened in series 2!

After saying we hadn't watched series 1 realised we had but couldn't remember it.

Agree with others constant flash backs are very confusing it seems a trend now which we dislike and and in our view unnecessary

Well...watched all 6 episodes of Blood. You were right, Calendargirl ...not a happy ending.
3 episodes too long.
Can’t be doing with flashbacks/current happenings...so confusing. The Liar was similar in this respect.

Perhaps there’s a series 3 to follow....?

We’ve been finding the moving backwards and forwards in time a bit confusing but getting the picture now.

Better than most recent tv.

Double episode finale tonight. I don’t think it will be a happy ever after ending somehow.

This is the link to the information about Series 1 on Wikipedia.

If you don’t want to watch all of series 1 a lot of series are summarised on Wikipedia. I had to do this with Homeland as I had completely forgotten what happened in the previous series which was quite a while ago.

Yes it is on the Channel 5 app. It is also on Amazon Prime but it is pay per episode on there.

You really need to have seen series 1 if possible, for all the back history.

So far I am not enjoying this series quite so much, may improve. And I'm worried about that beautiful horse.

Yes help needed here. Tried to get series 1 on My5 but we can't access it round here and never watched it. We're finding the flashbacks/current scenes confusing. I am assuming....am I right?? That Jim helping Paul digging a big hole is all in the past as I later realise he is dead in the boot of the car.

Calendargirl Tue 28-Apr-20 19:30:24

It will be on channel 5 I think.

Witzend Tue 28-Apr-20 19:26:54

Is the first series on catch up, and if so, on which channel please?

Calendargirl Tue 28-Apr-20 19:22:04

My post about the estranged daughter Cat was my reply to Gingster. It was she who was suspicious about
her dad in series 1. (Cat I mean).
And I meant that the other couple hadn’t featured in first series as far as I can remember.

silverlining48 Tue 28-Apr-20 18:59:20

No calendergirl it’s the new series 2 when Dunbar has returned to the area and the couple with the son put him up in their mansion type house for free, and he found son and friends with drugs
Still can’t remember the story line in series 1.
What am I like?

Calendargirl Tue 28-Apr-20 17:41:02

The estranged daughter is Cat, don’t know if she’ll be in this series.
I don’t recall the parents of the teenage boy putting Dunbar up being in series 1, might be wrong on that.

Gingster Tue 28-Apr-20 17:07:41

Me too Silverlining. I’m glad I’m not the only one losing it. Until CALENDARGIRL reminded me of the plot , it had completely gone from my memory. I’ll stick with it and hopefully it will gradually come back to my befuddled mind. Was there another daughter who had been estranged .?

Calendargirl Tue 28-Apr-20 10:05:31

Esspee

?

silverlining48 Tue 28-Apr-20 10:05:11

Perhaps I need to rewatch series 1 if I am ever to understand this new one. It’s not as if I don’t have the time.....smile

Calendargirl Tue 28-Apr-20 10:03:59

I had forgotten about the frog!
I was trying to think what I had seen Gillian in. She was Martin Compston’s sister, the nurse, in The Nest.

Jane43 Tue 28-Apr-20 09:51:17

I thought it was a promising first episode. I had only just watched Series 1 so I did know who the characters were.

silverlining48 Tue 28-Apr-20 09:21:21

I don’t remember a frog either...I fear I am a lost cause.

notnecessarilywiser Tue 28-Apr-20 09:18:59

It was an ornamental frog beside a garden pond, rather than a brick and a patio! grin

silverlining48 Tue 28-Apr-20 09:15:08

Thanks fir the back story calendar girl. I struggled last night as I couldn't remember who was who, even though I am sure I watched it.
Who are the couple with the teenage son putting up Dunbar in their house? For free! And I don’t recall a brick and a patio?

Esspee Tue 28-Apr-20 08:43:17

@Calendargirl. I read that last post as MumsNet disease.?

Gingster Tue 28-Apr-20 08:38:05

Oh thanks Calendargirl. It now rings a bell. Was it something to do with a brick on the patio?

Calendargirl Tue 28-Apr-20 08:36:36

I meant MN disease, not MD!
