Hello all! Cannot believe I left the wonderful 'Paint your wagon' off my list. If I have to stick to the rules I will take Calamity off as I already have the blissful Doris on my list. Fair's fair but this wasn't half difficult. I'm absolutely revelling in the current binge of golden oldies on telly.

I have just enjoyed re-watching "It's a Wonderful Life" - a really great film and the plot has been imitated on other classics like "Back to the Future"

I forgot 'Harvey'

Back to the old days - National Velvet.

Quite a few of you share my love of 7Brides for 7 brothers. It always cheers me up and it was on this afternoon.
Great start to Christmas.

PamelaJ1, I'm usually wary of films of stage musicals because they usually mess things up and, well, my ASD kicks in. The most egregious being ~Cabaret~ in my humble opinion; I love the original London cast album with the young Judi Dench as the slightly fly-blown Londoner Sally Bowles, so unlike American vamp Sally Bowles. And they took good songs out.

BUT SBFSB is a made-for-TV musical so even if the story is a bit iffy I don't care, I love it!
