This is a very difficult list to compile as I've loved so many, though here goes - in no particular order

The Piano
Gangs of New York
Master and Commander
Pulp Fiction
Gladiator
Dracula (with Gary Oldman)
Batman Trilogy - directed by Christopher Nolan (cheating I know...)
V for Vendetta
Last of the Mohicans
Mad Max: Fury Road

Paperbackwriter

I do't really have favourites as such, probably because once I've seen them I don't really choose to see them again. But I loved Help!, The Knack, A Taste of Honey, Le Weekend, and (because of a lifetime crush on Marianne Faithfull, the atrocious but somehow compelling Girl on a Motorcycle.

The one I DO watch most Christmases is The Great Escape. One day Steve will make it over that wire..

Apart from Last of the Mohicans I’ve found that the more I love a film the less likely I am to watch it again. I’ll watch a dvd several times if I’ve enjoyed the film but think I’ve missed something important. I’ve never rewatched Pans Labyrinth even though I still think it’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen.

Oooo, this is so hard to choose, but here goes:

1. Oliver - the old musical one with Ron Moody playing Fagin. "Gotta pick a pocket or two".

2. Some Like it Hot - "Nobody Talks Like That!"

3. The Godfather Trilogy - I was madly in love with Al Pacino

4. The Ladykilllers - lovely old and very funny film

5. The Court Jester with Danny Kaye - "The Chalice from the Palace has the brew that is true"!

6. Schindler's List - So poignant

7. Sophie's Choice - Again, so poignant

8. The Devils Advocate - "Do you honestly believe that the 20th century wasn't all down to me?" (the devil talking)

9. Wizard of Oz - "I'm melting, melting....."

10. Life of Brian - "10 Dinars for me life story"

That was hard......and so many more many now come to mind.

We absolutely love The life of Brian. We practically know it word for word and often use quotes in every day life ?
