Does anyone have a favourite piece of music that just gives them goosebumps when they hear it? Mine is. Toccata no5. By Vidor. It makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I hear this fantastic organ being played. !!

I must add the Ashokan Farewell by Jay Ungar and Don't Wanna Miss a Thing by Aerosmith.

It has to be 3!
Bach’s Cantata Widerstehe Doch der Sunde performed by the Netherlands Bach Society
O Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen
Gabriel’s Oboe by Ennio Morricone. (My late DH walked DD3 down the aisle to this)
All reduce me to a quivering goose- bumped wreck

Hundreds! All the Tchaikovsky ballets, especially Sleeping Beauty, almost all of Bach, Chopin piano pieces……

Top of all for me, though, is Benjamin Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings.

The longest possible version of ‘Insomnia’ by Faithless. I have told my children it must be played at my funeral!

Marmight I was recently introduced to the piano version of Widerstehe Doch der Sunde played by Vikingur Olaffson - it is sublime. I had only ever heard it as a choral piece.

'Tara's Theme' from Gone with the wind played by Andre Rieu

Also the John Dunbar theme from Dances with Wolves another which gives me goosebumps.

Another is Beyond the Pale by a group called Slammer. Both my DH and i loved this track and he wanted it to be played at his funeral. The words are so apt if you listen carefully.

Just remembered another one
Fast love written by George Michael . Whilst I love George Michael this was one song I never liked. Adele covered this at his tribute concert and she slowed the tempo down so you could hear the words that were somehow lost on the upbeat track. (Very clever of George really)
