Why hasn't that girl (who's name escapes me) defended by Imran over Seb's murder, been given legal aid?

She's legally in foster care so surely entitled to it?

Perhaps Kelly will coincidentally share a cell with Faye.

Aveline Tue 14-Sept-21 08:49:55

I bet she will vegansrock. Meanwhile, guess who her nurse will be in hospital?!

JaneJudge Tue 14-Sept-21 08:54:58

why is Faye in prison? I think I've blocked this from my mind

Beechnut Tue 14-Sept-21 08:58:27

Aveline

Well poor Kelly may have attempted suicide but, luckily, managed to affix her false eyelashes first.

I thought they looked creepy when she screwed up her eyes to cry.

She attacked Adam Barlow thinking he was someone else.

Ahh ok grin as you do...

I find the continuity completely daft. As in, Corey admitting to changing his clothes, and throwing rucksack in river. Wouldn't bonafide detectives despatch divers to find the rucksack first. Very odd progranning

ExDancer Thu 16-Sept-21 09:47:34

My query was (still is) why isn't Kelly getting legal aid?

I thought they said they'd searched for them but they couldn't find them. Maybe I imagined it.

Have they said she isn't?

Wasn't there some 'expert' who was going to be able to analyse the blood splatter (or something) who was too expensive for them?

maddyone Thu 16-Sept-21 10:11:38

Did anyone notice last night that Ken Barlow’s (Bill Roache) speech was somewhat difficult to decipher? Almost slurred. Perhaps at 88 he’s getting a bit long in the tooth for acting, but I know he loves his job and doesn’t want to give it up. I had to really concentrate to catch what he was saying.

henetha Thu 16-Sept-21 11:06:00

Yes, maddyone. I thought that too. Let's hope he can continue for as long as he wants too.

JaneJudge Thu 16-Sept-21 11:10:05

I wondered if he'd had a slight stroke as his gait seemed different too

JaneJudge Thu 16-Sept-21 11:12:48

I have just googled, apparently he has had covid sad

maddyone Thu 16-Sept-21 11:14:41

I knew he’d had Covid and I wondered if it had caused a slight stroke too.

Gary’s wad of notes paid for that, stuffed in an envelope through Imran’s door.

He will never leave. I think he’s the world’s longest running soap opera actor. Fewer and fewer appearances maybe, but I think he will remain part of the cast until he dies in real life.

vegansrock Thu 16-Sept-21 12:21:36

Ken Barlow’s ageing is realistic though, so why not have soap characters who get a bit doddery?

maddyone Thu 16-Sept-21 13:10:38

Yes, no problem with him carrying on working, I’m just wondering if he’s actually fit to work. Plus mumbled speech isn’t ideal for an actor. Not his fault I know, but I really had to concentrate to understand what he was saying last night. Perhaps he’ll just appear occasionally now.
