Freda and the implants for Aled. Now she has kidnapped the little chap to stop the operation. She comes over as the most impossibly selfish woman and I have no sympathy for her. One storyline that has disappointed.

Prefer Emmerdale

Aveline Sat 01-Jan-22 12:20:11

Go Steve! A simple soul like Emma needs all the protection he can provide.

Can we all register for the Corrie GP surgery?

Only the one GP since Ali left, Doctor Gaddas, yet Tim was able to get in immediately for a Well Man New Year Health Check, no need to do Ask My GP, no queue after the bank holiday, no urgent appointments only because of Covid…..

Aveline Mon 03-Jan-22 20:53:17

It was quite funny though. I do like Tim.

A very good comment.I think we should all move into Coronation Street, one of it's many perks is instant face to face GP appointments!.Must be the only place in the UK where you can get them, and only the one GP as well. She must be Wonder Woman.

Also, if in hospital, you automatically get nurse Aggie.

BlueBelle Mon 03-Jan-22 22:23:32

So Imrans off the hook but Adams back on it

Faye and Emma are now in yet another unlikely scenario. Why didn't they say that the old man had collapsed, they had stopped and given him a lift home, called back later to see how he was and - hey presto - dead. Instead they find two pairs of Marigolds - how handy - and clean the flat. I'm amazed he didn't have multiple fractures anyway as he was struck hard, hit the bonnet and windscreen and then crashed to the ground. I do wish the storylines were a little more realistic.

Grannynannywanny Mon 03-Jan-22 22:59:13

I think he wasn’t really dead and was just in a deep sleep. He’ll turn up large as life in the Rovers to thank Emma for cleaning his flat. She’ll faint with the shock and will be rushed into hospital. Her trolley will pass by the cardiology clinic just as Curtis is being ejected for time wasting. He’ll be so shocked at the sight of Emma that he will immediately overcome his psychological problems and they’ll live happily ever after.

Aveline Tue 04-Jan-22 07:27:42

Grannynannywanny- brilliant!

Grannynannywanny Tue 04-Jan-22 07:45:05

Aveline do you think I’ve maybe got too much time on my hands and should get out more? ?

Aveline Tue 04-Jan-22 08:08:59

Absolutely not. You sound remarkably similar to me. Ever considered writing? Looks like you can plot stories!

Grannynannywanny Tue 04-Jan-22 08:22:21

Ever considered writing?
My writing skills don’t extend beyond my tesco shopping list?

You go next Aveline and write an instalment, the dafter the better!

Aveline Tue 04-Jan-22 08:51:11

I couldn't compete!

honeyrose Tue 04-Jan-22 10:11:03

The storylines just get crazier, don’t they? Also, very predictable in many cases. I’ll still watch it though. After 60 years, I’m not going to stop watching now. I don’t know whether anyone has said it on this thread, but it’s obvious to me that Adam is going to turn out to be the father of Lydia’s son. Sarah and Lydia will then fall out, big time. I also think - as someone did say - that Alina will return, babe in arms. That baby will be - da da - Tyrone’s!

Rosina Tue 04-Jan-22 15:36:31

I do think Grannynannywanny and honeyrose should take over the scriptwriting. I too have watched it from the beginning, but the predictable and unlikely direction that the storylines seem to be taking constantly now is becoming a bit insulting to the viewer. However, the odd flash of brilliance keeps me going. Gail's monologue, looking out of the window when Aiden had taken his life, was so well done.

I’m impressed at old Ted having two pristine pairs of marigolds. I am not sure I even possess one pair..

Is there something I missed about Tim’s check up ? Is he ill ?

Doodledog Tue 04-Jan-22 16:23:31

I don't think so, or at least not as far as he knows yet - it's a NY resolution. He and Sally decided to get fit so that they'd have a longer life together. I'm sure it will end in tears one way or the other though.

Aveline Tue 04-Jan-22 16:41:18

He's not been referred to hospital for fun. Amazing how Sally didn't spot how dejected he was.

Clawdy Tue 04-Jan-22 16:48:24

Why would Emma answer the door to the delivery guy, and sign it? And they were meticulously cleaning the flat when the grandson could have walked in any time - and neighbours could spot them leaving. Ridiculous.

Daisend1 Tue 04-Jan-22 17:01:50

Prefer Emmerdale.Waiting to see if Kim ties the knot.

Aveline Tue 04-Jan-22 17:19:18

Need a different thread for that!

Calendargirl Tue 04-Jan-22 17:21:27

Re Tim. In my TV guide, for later this week, he gets upsetting news about his health.

Will say no more, but it’s already in the guide.

Aveline Tue 04-Jan-22 18:22:37

Oh no!

Kim19 Tue 04-Jan-22 18:53:23

Great plot GrannyWN and certainly no worse than the unbelievable rubbish we're being fed at the moment. Keep it up, p!ease. I'm enjoying the laugh. You're good.
