I thought it was linked to the rather tedious storyline of too many cars on the street rather than about Audrey in particular, but I may be wrong, my viewing of it is erratic.

And I thought it might be about the ageist attitude and assumptions of the other characters towards Audrey, until I saw that they were showing her squinting at things, suggesting that at the very least, she does have some issue related to her vision.

Whatever the storyline turns out to be, I hope it is more entertaining than it seems at the moment.

TBH, at the risk of incurring the wrath of GN, at 81, I think Audrey deserves a bit of retirement.

Is it? There has always been heavy drinking in Coronation Street, I would say both audrey and rita are heavy drinkers.

Also, Audrey is very stylish so I'm not sure why her offspring would suddenly start buying her slippers and slankets. Ridiculous.

I do love Roy and his young charge. I really enjoy Sally’s comic lines. Love Evelyn. I like Abby too and hope they don’t bring her back as a junky, she’d become such a likeable character.
I’m glad to see that the feisty Yasmine is returning after the Geoff storyline left her weak. She was a real pillar of the community type at the beginning.

As soon as I watched this I knew exactly where it was leading. Insinuating anybody over a certain age will be classed as not fit to drive!

I do think Audrey is being a Diva at the moment. What with this story and the Freda storyline I feel very disappointed how older women are portrayed. We are not miserable old bats.
