I always enjoy I'm a Celebrity but record it so I can zoom over the endless adverts. I just wish they would not have the 'eating' challenges. Another vote for David Ginola!!
I also like MAFSA - it's just easy watching, a welcome change from some of the doom and gloom and other rubbish. Although as already been said, each to his own and there is no need to be insulting to those of us who like it

Always a very interesting social experiment, as a social-psychologist, and psychotherapist I've watched this for years while doing something else at the same time - so interesting to see what levels of personal disclosure endear campmates to others, and how cruel the general viewing population can be when voting for people to complete trials. It brings enormous insights into human behaviour for those who care a fig about society - of course not everybody does and that's their business and with remote controls it's very easy to switch to something else. Personally, I would far rather watch this type of light entertainment which eats up our screens for around 25 hours once a year than be subjected to the continual dribble about the Royal Family and especially the dissecting of interviews that its members willingly decide to grant to the media - at least the 'celebs' in the jungle/have 'made' whatever it is they have become known for through some form of proper work.

Goodness, some of you on here are REALLY enjoying showing off how superior you feel to others regarding your viewing choices! Of COURSE people take part for the money. It's work! If you don't like watching it, just don't watch it. (I haven't seen this year's yet but will have a look now I know David Ginola's in it)

Think it takes all sorts to make a world so, if you enjoy watching 'I'm a celebrity...', like me, then go for it. I don't like any other 'reality' type show but would never be rude to those who do. Just because you like something others don't doesn't make you fair game to be ridiculed.

I can't stand a lot of programmes that others, including my husband like, but wouldn't start a thread about it. Each to their own. Life's too short. Take a few deep breaths & get over it. There's lots of other newsworthy items to get our knickers in a knot over.

Personally I love it. The interactions are so fascinating and people who you think will be awful sometimes aren't and ones you think will be nice can be awful.

I wouldn't do it for any money because I couldn't do the eating challenges! I feel sick just thinking about them.

They do it for the money is a strange criticism, it is a job, of course, they do it for the money. Also, those that say they don't recognise them, well unless you follow all sports, watch TV 24hours a day, know all music artists and know everyone in any other entertainment industry you will not know all of them.

These days I only watch TV between 8-11pm and usually drama series on Netflix and Prime.
Reality TV leaves me cold. But then I also dislike musical theatre too which many people seem to love.
I’m just grateful there’s plenty of choice to suit all tastes.

I usually have no idea who anyone is on this show! My DD3 watches it and likes Ant and Dec I have no strong views either way and the same is true of Richard Madeley, as I have never watched the morning TV (prefer the radio).
I have to confess I dont know who David Ginola is either ?

Someone once described this programme to me as being made for closet sadists! Not quite sure about that, but the only thing that would persuade me to watch is if Ant and Dec were made to undergo the trials! (Sorry but I can't stand either of them!)

It's worth watching purely for the lovely David Ginola. Very moving listening to him recount his heart attack whilst playing football. I really hope he wins, he is a supportive and calming influence on the others taking part.

I avoid it. Has it changed its formula? In the beginning it seemed like bullying for entertainment, and I stopped watching it.
When I did watch it in the early days I used to cringe sometimes at the quarrels and how one particular celeb would be unpopular with the audience and be voted to get some awful trial or challenge more often. . Programmes like this and the Jeremy Kyle show are not for me. I'm glad JK has ended. Has he popped up on Get Me Out Of Here?

I find it interesting to watch the social interactions and get some idea of what people are really like. Yes, the general public can be so unkind in their singling out of certain individuals but that's not surprising. Some of the people I dislike often show a different side and vice versa.

Used to like it but not anymore never heard of half of them , I really don't want to listen to what a tough life they're having or had

I watch it, although can't stand seeing the rats. It puts the dark nights in for me sitting in front of the telly until I head to bed with my book. TV is company for me sitting on my own, I watch all sorts. David Ginola will definitely be the highlight of the show this year for me ?
