Anyone else watch this last night BBC1, 9pm?

Thought it quite intriguing, it’s on over 4 nights, but suspect like so many other similar dramas, may descend into farce.

I found a button on my new smart tv and watched the last episode straight afterwards. Won’t spoil but feeling very tech!

I’m enjoying it, I love psychological thrillers. I find the Tec. chap creepy and wonder if he has a larger part in the death.
I’m also wondering how the architect got his staircase past building regs, with no handrails.

I wasn't sure about the first two episodes but we watched last night's episode on BBC and got hooked so watched the final episode on iPlayer. I would say stick with it, DH guessed the ending but I didn't.

BUT what is it with these new style houses in dramas, I remember one with Keeley Hawes in a similar house with open staircase and other dramas with modern houses with huge floor to ceiling windows, all I can think about is " how do they clean them?" meaning I miss a lot of the plot.

I found it very confusing - and very slow - at first. It got better but was quite silly really.

Yes, me too, particularly when they are massive plate glass ones overlooking the sea. The first thing I think about is seagull poo grin.

I dare say I'll watch the last episode, but to be honest I don't really care what happens to any of them. The characters all lack warmth, never mind the house.

I dislike the house enormously but am interested to see the last episode tonight.

Our large windows have self cleaning glass. Seagull poo washes of in the rain. Or you can just hose it, no streaks left.

Off!

Wow! I had no idea such a thing existed.

Oooh!! Gripped now!

Yep, and we are meant to be totally confused!

Well, just watched the final episode.

Did I miss something? Who was the father of Jane’s stillborn baby? Or was it an IVF baby and she was a single mum-to-be?

I had guessed the ending, as had others.

Have ordered the book from the library.

I don't think the baby was ever explained.
I did think the way the rape investigation was handled was highly unlikely.
I do wonder how all the people in these dramas never have extended family. No mum to turn up nd warn them "Someone could break their neck on them stairs"

Calendargirl Thu 23-Dec-21 11:48:22

Do you think that after two ‘accidents’, Edward finally decided to install a handrail?

Then again, perhaps not….

trisher Thu 23-Dec-21 11:51:35

I do wonder how low a rent you would have to ask for a property where two people have fallen to their deaths and there are bodies in the garden.

Namsnanny Thu 23-Dec-21 12:01:15

Too many contrived flaws in the plot for me to 'play along' with the plot.
Also, I'm irritated with so many plots involving rape. It's becoming 'normalised'

Namsnanny Thu 23-Dec-21 12:01:57

Too many plots altogether!grin

I enjoyed it. I always find it easy to suspend my disbelief when all the far-fetched plot lines are rolled out. In real life nobody would want to live in that house with its horrible history, Edward’d have been told to get a banister fixed up before the house was signed off, creepy tech guy would have been out on his ear, and all the characters would have had various family members poking their noses in helping and advising. It wouldn’t have been very exciting though.

I loved the stylish location shots and oh, the clothes. envy
