Stanley has much better legs than Eddie.

I’ve always had the impression that it’s all about the cross dressing with Eddie. I think that he’s an old fashioned transvestite.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a bit of AGP in there either

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 10:26:48

And he’s got awful taste in clothes

Callistemon21 Sun 13-Feb-22 10:28:21

He looks like a bloke whatever he wears.
A very blokey bloke.

Callistemon21 Sun 13-Feb-22 10:29:57

Why do men's shirts and coats do up a different way from women's coats and shirts?

Do the designers assume all boys are left-handed?

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 10:30:17

A very blokey bloke in horrible clothes and make up!

Callistemon21 Sun 13-Feb-22 10:31:06

trisher

Eddie Izzard has got great legs though and he can walk in heels!!!

I can't walk in heels!

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 10:31:12

It’s from when men had valets to do their buttons up.

Callistemon21 Sun 13-Feb-22 10:31:38

Oh, even the poor ones?

?

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 10:32:01

I can’t walk in heels either.
Mind you, I can hardly walk in owt at the moment

Callistemon21 Sun 13-Feb-22 10:32:42

Ps I'm just imaging a left-handed valet trying to do up a shirt or coat on someone else!

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 10:32:53

It’s odd isn’t it? (Buttons) it’s just one of those things that have stuck

Galaxy Sun 13-Feb-22 10:33:05

I used to be able to walk in heels I seem to have lost the knack. Not that I caregrin.

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 10:33:58

The way we’re carrying on, Caliit might be best if we just exchanged mobile numbers grin

Galaxy Sun 13-Feb-22 10:34:02

Sorry fanny just seen your post that was a bit crass of me.

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 10:35:00

Can he walk in heels though?
Some men, and women (I’m thinking of you Tina Turner) just stomp

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 10:35:35

Don’t be daft Galaxy smile
It’s fine!

trisher Sun 13-Feb-22 11:13:26

It’s from when men had valets to do their buttons up.

I always thought it was something to do with carrying a sword.

He's always worn heels. When he was doing tours he had some boots I really fancied, I couldn't wear them now. I'd probably fall and break something. His touring outfits were amazing as well.

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 11:47:09

He definitely looks better in ‘men’s’ clothes.
And why the fake boobs?envy

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 11:47:29

Oops

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 11:49:48

When I saw him in 1991 he just looked like a slightly scruffy bloke in a Hawaiian shirt, jeans and bleached hair.
I asked him why he bleached his hair, and he blushed. He was very shy

trisher Sun 13-Feb-22 12:02:45

I'm trying to think what I would have said if someone had ever asked me that. It was just highlights though so perhaps not as noticeable but I don't think I would have had an answer, because I like it I suppose.

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 12:06:17

No, it was really badly bleached. A really bad job.
My mate was sporting badly bleached hair too, so we were having a laugh about it.
I think that he was intimidated by two very pretty young women flirting with him

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 12:08:18

We were 19, he would have been 29

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Feb-22 12:12:36

He was probably a bit spooked that my friend shared the name of his late mother. I didn’t know that at the time
