New thread required, old one full.

^where do they get a body bag from at such short notice? absolutely bonkers^

They probably run them up in the knicker factory as a side line to keep up with the local demand ?

grin

It's crackers, isn't it? Of all the things you'd decide to do if you accidentally killed someone, sticking the body in the boot of your own car would be nowhere near the top of the list, surely?

NotTooOld Tue 27-Sept-22 22:22:27

You would think so, wouldn't you? Our boot is usually full of stuff, no room for a body. I would have to put it on the back seat instead.

Doodledog Tue 27-Sept-22 22:26:39

Body-storage facilities are worth considering next time you buy a car.

JaneJudge Tue 27-Sept-22 22:30:32

I think my boot would have just been too narrow unless I placed Joe upright but i all honesty, I don't think I'd have had the strength to tip over a full industrial bin after shopping for gaffer tape and a body bag and the loading a body into the bag, bigger than own and then lifting full said body bag into the boot of a car.
anyway my details might be slightly off now as I am quite forgetful...but not enough to have a secret dead body disposing kit at my Mother's address abroad.

JaneJudge Tue 27-Sept-22 22:31:43

I can guess what is coming next btw

the body bag will be disposed of down the sink hole in the Platts garden

NotTooOld Tue 27-Sept-22 22:38:15

The sink hole that has suddenly re-opened on its own? Yes, of course it will. Who writes this stuff?

Doodledog Tue 27-Sept-22 22:41:26

There's already been one body under the Platt's garden grin.

JaneJudge Tue 27-Sept-22 22:45:24

well as long as Cerberus doesn't end up down there, no one will care

actually what has happened to David Platts dog?

JaneJudge Tue 27-Sept-22 22:46:03

and is Shona pregnant in RL

Doodledog Tue 27-Sept-22 22:48:55

Ooh, good questions - I don't know about either of those things.

Shona (the actress) had a baby fairly recently, so is in that stage of her life/marriage/relationship, so it's possible. You're right, the dog (is it called David, too?) hasn't been seen for ages.

Aveline Wed 28-Sept-22 07:01:52

I didn't think it was his car the body's in. Was it not the Underworld van?
Yes Shona is pregnant in real life.
Oh well. It's on again tonight. More for us to criticise!

Calendargirl Wed 28-Sept-22 07:18:53

Yes, I thought it was the Underworld van. Let’s hope Kirk doesn’t come in early and start his deliveries!

Why on earth was Stephen allowed to have keys to the factory, (and probably the van)? Just because he’s Sarah’s uncle, and supposedly ‘consulting’.

Does the Platt family realise Stephen and Gabrielle are no longer together? I couldn’t work it out.

BlueBelle Wed 28-Sept-22 07:21:57

judgeJane have you just killed off someone else

I think my boot would have just been too narrow unless I placed Joe upright ?
I thought it was the van the rather tall long body went into Jenny s destined not to be happy isnt she perhaps Stephen will comfort her !!!

Calendargirl Wed 28-Sept-22 07:29:03

Why is Jake living with Gary and Maria now?

Why is Izzy never seen now?

nadateturbe Wed 28-Sept-22 07:35:42

Coronation Street has such rubbish storylines at the minute. It used to be cheerful. I don't think I'll watch tonight.

Franbern Wed 28-Sept-22 09:19:43

Izzy never really returned after Covid. There were a couple of episodes in which she appeared via zoom (or similar), I assume that the actor involved could not agree a return contract with ITV.

Such a pity that there is no-one on the Cobbles having anything involving concrete at the moment. That is usually the favorite method there of disposing of bodies.

Aveline Wed 28-Sept-22 17:16:43

I thought there was going to be a story about Izzy a while ago. She seemed to be being kept at home by that creepy traffic warden.

Calendargirl Wed 28-Sept-22 21:00:24

So what has Stephen done with Leo’s body?

Is it still in the back of the Underworld van?

Or have I nodded off and missed a vital bit?

Aveline Wed 28-Sept-22 21:33:02

I keep expecting him to reappear. That would really screw Stephen up.

JaneJudge Wed 28-Sept-22 21:52:36

yes, the older son of Miss Smiley in Grandpa in my pocket is going to get framed for it

moreseriously

Stephen started a fire by a tree and stared at the ground somewhere

Charleygirl5 Wed 28-Sept-22 22:00:02

I did not think the body ever moved out of the bin.

Doodledog Wed 28-Sept-22 22:47:34

grin.

The passport is going to be Stephen's undoing.

Calendargirl Thu 29-Sept-22 09:00:21

But he only burned the passport and some clothes!

Surely even the Corrie scriptwriters did not devise a body burning session on some derelict part of Weatherfield!

Aveline Thu 29-Sept-22 09:05:21

Maybe David's missing dog also called David will find it and return the charred remains of the passport. Obviously Cerberus would have done it if he'd still been around.
Actually, where is Peanut Kirk's dog and didn't Steve have a Jack Russell? Maybe all upstairs with the children washing their hands?

Grannynannywanny Thu 29-Sept-22 09:11:07

I wonder if Michael Bailey is going to fall under suspicion. He was shown returning home last night to change his trousers which had been contaminated after moving the factory bin.

Creepy Steven was present when Michael attended to the bin and handled the bin with him. Perhaps conveniently giving himself an excuse for his DNA to be found on the bin?

I think he might attempt to frame Michael.
