Did anyone hear her on Today Prog Radio 4 this am?

MissAdventure Mon 17-Oct-22 16:18:32

People are free to walk out if they find the subject matter offensive, I'm sure.

If I was going to watch Norton chatting to gargoyles then I would have a fairly good idea what might ensue.

If I didn't, then I suspect she can't be noteworthy enough.

Gargoyles! grin
Blame the ruddy videos taking up my screen.

Gargoyles!!! ?
Brilliant! Well done Miss A, best auto carrot ever!

MissAdventure Mon 17-Oct-22 16:21:10

Auto carrot? grin

Chestnut Mon 17-Oct-22 16:23:08

Yes, that's a cracker Miss A. You can't get out of that one, was it really a mistake? ?

I would think the audience don't know who is on the show until the last minute, and if you've waited months for your ticket and travelled afar (some from other countries) then you really don't want to walk out of the show!

Chestnut Mon 17-Oct-22 16:25:56

And the other guests are forced to laugh whether they like it or not!

MissAdventure Mon 17-Oct-22 16:26:06

It was.
I save that kind of insult for people like lady colin whatever her face is, who threw a live creature on a fire in "I'm a celeb", and is was generally vile.

Lots here found her great fun, though.

Horses. Courses.

I even posted that around a video suggesting lock down activities for my children.

She never looks put together .. rather dressed herself in a dark room with no mirrors , and from the dressing up box ...

MissAdventure Wed 19-Oct-22 17:01:33

Good for her.

Farzanah Wed 19-Oct-22 17:30:10

Even that National Treasure Judy Dench has a tattoo. Present for for 81st birthday. Carpe Diem.

MissAdventure Wed 19-Oct-22 17:35:13

Oh but dame Judy has such lovely hair!
Who'd have thought she was the type to have a tattoo? smile

Farzanah Wed 19-Oct-22 17:39:09

MissAdventure Wed 19-Oct-22 17:43:47

Judi Dench is apparently just as bad as MM but never behaves like that in public, and that's the difference. Lesley Manville told how very, very naughty she is, but what people do off the screen is another thing altogether.

Doodledog Thu 20-Oct-22 12:25:19

I think that's the crux of it. It doesn't matter what an actor is life offstage, unless or until they want to make their personality their career.

Laurence Fox stopped his career in its tracks when he showed his colours on Question Time, as nobody could take him seriously as anything other than who he has shown himself to be. Maybe MM is hoping to corner the market in 'disgraceful' old lady roles? The grey pound is attracting a fair number of films these days - she might be onto something.
