Just a heads up -Wednesdays Corrie this week is on Thursday
Should the Judge in the teenagers rape case be struck off ?
Yes, we all know it’s rubbish, but Corrie is an institution.
We need to have an active thread at all times.

Gemma eating like a toddler with her mouth open - ugh
You are being stalked by a delivery man - a delivery arrives whilst there are 4 other people in the house - would you open the door?.
All the ‘issues’ explored nowadays on Corrie get me a bit fed up. I sometimes feel the programme is preaching to me. I used to love the humour; Bet Lynch, Rachel, Rita, especially with Mavis, Norris, and a few others. Corrie has lost its way I think.
Doodledog
Oh, did he get any money out of the liver surgeon?
No, he found that expensive watch in his taxi didn’t he?
Did it belong to Rufus?
I assumed he’s kept it, after checking online as to its value.
Oh, did he get any money out of the liver surgeon?
Wouldn't the bank do some sort of checks? If Elaine can't afford to buy it without him, they'll need to know that between them they can stump up the necessary.
What is Stephen hoping to get out of discrediting Carla? Does he think he'll end up with the factory? It's hardly a given, is it? Or is it just for revenge?
Faye is clearly headed for the top at Underworld, and will probably have her daughter working there before long
.
And where did Peter get £15k from?
Oh Elaine, can you be any more dopey and gullible?
Buying a ‘penthouse apartment’ with someone you know so little about?
What will Tim say?
There has been a same sex marriage before or at least one was planned. I remember seeing Sally's daughter Sophie (?) and her girlfriend in their matching wedding dresses. That was ages ago.
At least Carla didn’t let him make her a ‘brew’ this time, thank goodness!
Can’t wait for the villain that is Stephen to get his comeuppance. He is actually getting on my nerves. Max is having his character changed so that is good.
Yes, I think that an occasional issue- led story is good, but when the whole show feels like a Sociology O level it’s going too far. The Roy and Hayley story was good, for instance, as after they’d introduced the issue they ran with it in the background for years, showing that if even people like Les Battersby could accept transpeople the viewers could do so too, and the Mark Fowler having HIV story let the BBC introduce developments as they happened. But five or six going on at once is overkill- I prefer the domestic disharmony that made Corrie famous
I didn’t think I’d miss much on Corrie last night and tuned into Beyond Paradise instead.
Yes, far too much emphasis on current issues, which, though worthy, just get boring TBH, and depressing. We can tune into the daily news to hear all about them.
We want our soaps to be gritty but with some humour and a bit of fun occasionally. But ‘gritty’ becomes far fetched, and as for the humour, often just plain daft.
I think the Daisy stalking story is going to turn into women fighting to be heard about intimidation and violence, the police woman is going to take on her case etc. Corrie is trying a bit too hard with its current issues stories - refugees, terrorism , gay vicars and now police not taking women seriously. I wondered too how the refugee knew what size the charity shop suit was. I think Billy might propose marriage to Paul but will come against the church’s stance on same sex weddings (has there been a same sex wedding in Corrie yet? I can’t think of one- another issue needing addressing) .
Thanks CD. I really must pay attention! I have got in the habit of half listening to soaps as they are on early in the evening and I always have things to do. I think I can follow without watching, but I can’t. Now you say it I do remember Max being sentenced and being told he’d have to serve half. I hope nothing happens to prolong his time in there - he seems vulnerable.
No, Max was given his sentence the other day, 9 or 10 months I think.
Blake, who stabbed Alya, got 12 years.
I've been rushing about making a packed lunch for tomorrow, which I nearly forgot to do, so I was only half watching, and missed that bit.
Did I hear that Max got two years?
It all seemed a bit of an anti-climax, the exposing of the corrupt racism councillor.
Was surprised that chap just bought the suit from the charity shop without apparently checking the size or trying it on. Miraculously it seemed a good fit. Evelyn could do with a bit of training in customer service skills.
Would Daisy have been wandering about buying chips at night, after her traumatic day? Surely Daniel might have gone and left her to mind Bertie? Getting fed up with that storyline, it’s dragging on like so many of them.

Would Archdeacon Billy really be having unwed gay relationships and still be in a position of authority in the church?
I have never known Billy to do any ''Archdeaconing''
I do not know what an archdeacon does, but if Billy is an example of one, it must be a really easy job.

I was surprised last night to see that Craig wasn’t on duty and another officer interviewed Daisy. However, it looks like they’re adding another very unpleasant dimension to the storyline. She handed over her phone to the interviewing officer and gave him access to her social media. He then acted inappropriately by viewing and “liking” her holiday photos.
I wondered the same about the interviewing policeman.
I think Craig needs to return from his days off and put him in his place.
Indeed
I'm only guessing anyway - who knows what the current bunch of scriptwriters will come up with.
I hadn’t thought of that Doodledog. I had taken it at face value. I thought his comments during the interview were inappropriate. He didn’t appear to be taking it seriously and described it as “crush” on a “pretty girl”
I think Craig needs to return from his days off and put him in his place.

I'm assuming that this is the stalker in disguise, trying to put Daniel and Daisy off reporting things. A real policeman wouldn't do that in plain sight, surely? I know they have a bad press for how they treat women, but that would be career suicide.
I also wondered how Craig could have the temerity to perhaps have a day off when there was so much crime on Coronation Street
I cannot wait for next week when Stephen gets his comeuppance.
