Anyone heard tonight’s episode? If not and you are a long time listener I advise you to listen on catch-up. No spoilers

I like the Chelsea character.
She owns up to mistakes and learns quickly from them. So many other young characters seem to take years to evolve and some of the younger men were basically interchangeable for years it seems. This wasn't helped by most of them sounding "straight out of drama school"

Oops yes! Apologies for me confusing the Horrobins & Grundys; as a longtime listener I should know better. I do love Chelsea though.

Farzanah Fri 10-Feb-23 16:36:40

I think Chelsea and Tracey have brightened up the Archers no end. I love Jazzer too.

Good to see Will back and here’s hoping he has helped Brian

Good for Susan!

Delila Fri 03-Mar-23 20:25:03

Thank goodness the funeral is over with!

merlotgran Fri 03-Mar-23 20:59:10

I agree. Can we move on now please?

eGJ Sun 05-Mar-23 18:20:36

With you on that one merlotgran

I’m not a regular Archers listener but this funeral has taken such a long long time.

IrishDancing Mon 06-Mar-23 12:12:34

I’m so glad the funeral is over, it all dragged on too long. I’m sorry Chelsea isn’t going to be a tour guide at Lower Locksley, she would have wakened things up a bit! Also sorry that Ben’s issue with the gentleman in the care home was so easily sorted - doesn’t really reflect RL.

shysal Mon 06-Mar-23 12:33:52

Apparently the gentleman in the care home is played by Jasper Carrot, who was upset by listeners claiming his voice was too similar to that of the chap who is friendly with Elizabeth (his name escapes me). I have to agree, although JC says one accent is B'ham and the other Black Country.

shysal Mon 06-Mar-23 12:34:53

I have remembered that his name is Vince!

eGJ Mon 06-Mar-23 13:31:14

Lucy Davis, Jasper Carrot’s daughter played Hayley in TA

Delila Mon 06-Mar-23 16:44:16

I thought the old chap in the care home’s voice sounded a bit like the actor who played Matt Crawford, but rougher.

Delila Mon 06-Mar-23 16:45:49

I can’t distinguish between several of the younger male characters. I have to hope someone will mention a name.

shysal Tue 07-Mar-23 07:50:56

I also have a problem with the vicar and the policeman sounding similar. They were speaking to each other on last week's omnibus and I really couldn't tell which was which except by what they were saying.

Delila Tue 07-Mar-23 19:53:14

Yes, Shysal, I found their voices difficult to tell apart too.

silverlining48 Wed 08-Mar-23 00:04:17

My dh thinks the difficult care home resident is Jasper Carrot 🥕

We were both wrong Wyllow blush

eGJ Sun 12-Mar-23 20:21:47

Where will Brian go? Is he leaving too? Did you notice it was Judy Bennet aka Shula who produced The Archers last week!

Me too.
I don’t think Brian’s leaving the show.
That’s interesting eGJ. Thought she’d retired.

I think all the stuff with the artwork was a bit tedious.

eGJ Sun 12-Mar-23 21:16:57

And Freddie and his revamping and tour guides is dragging too NotS

NotSpaghetti Sun 12-Mar-23 21:23:08

eGJ and then Helen organising a builder (with no discussion) so that the public can gawp whilst Susan and Clarrie are working making cheese etc without thinking they wouldn't like it - absurd.
