How have Gemma and Chesney managed to buy a new sofa?

Charleygirl5 Thu 13-Jul-23 08:49:29

Stephen got rid of Elaine's anti- hypertensive drugs at least a couple of weeks ago. She has had no ill effects from taking Smarties or the equivalent. Maybe I should do that?

Elaine does not trust Stephen but I think that Tim may be head of the "to do" list.

I think Max may be drawn in unwillingly. The prison visit will be the deciding factor.

How can those not working or have low paid jobs be able to sit in Roy's drinking coffee or propping up the bar?

Freecycle?

Do wish that Soap writers would come into the modern world. All pill medication these days is dispenses in blister packs. It is many yeaars ago that pills were put loose into bottles. Know this may upset one of their standard story lines.....But.......

I thought Elaine was very convincing at being hurt when she caught sight of Stephen pulling a face behind her back. She really did look shocked and very upset.

I think she is slowly becoming aware that Stephen is a nasty piece of work and that Tim may be right about him. She is seeing kindness and gentleness in the Tai Chi man which she never saw in her evil first husband or swivel-eyed Stephen. I believe Stephen will be caught in the act of harming her by TC man who will use his martial arts to overpower him.

Calendargirl Thu 13-Jul-23 11:09:43

I didn’t realise Gemma had a different sofa, you can’t tell as it is usually buried under piles of washing or toys or plates of food.

Was it Sally who described the tai chi chap as ‘easy on the eye?’

Hardly.

I found him strangely creepy, so he will probably suit Elaine, whose taste in men is a bit off.

Good call. The sooner the better grin

Beechnut Thu 13-Jul-23 11:14:23

I must admit to doing the tai chi with them last night 🤣

Charleygirl5 Thu 13-Jul-23 12:29:02

I thought that Stephen had renewed his contract a few months ago. I cannot stand the sight of him. I like Tim so would prefer for him and Elaine to stay alive.

Aveline Thu 13-Jul-23 13:07:12

Tim's good fun. He's such a good contrast with prissy Sally and great with Steve. They're like two wee boys together.
I've always thought that it was yoga where flatulence could be a problem rather than Tai Chi. Trust Steve!

Clawdy Thu 13-Jul-23 17:01:33

A bit unbelievable that Max would choose to visit Lauren's dad in jail - very risky.

I hope Max doesn't get sucked back in.

You could fry eggs on Adams hair

Doodledog Fri 14-Jul-23 21:02:15

Yes, it's not a good look, is it?

Poor Toyah - she's had a very eventful life (as has her sister, come to think of it). I'd like to see Toyah and Spider settle down in peace. They make a good couple.

It’s revolting isn’t it?

Damon was so much nicer [sigh]

Sarah appeared not to have read the letter - or at least, it looked like an unopened envelope that she tore in half and threw in a bin. Can the scriptwriters contrive a situation where somebody picks out the letter and reads it?

Doodledog Fri 14-Jul-23 23:24:12

That's what I thought would happen, but, at least some time has passed since she threw it away. Maybe the binmen will drop it when they empty the bin, and someone will pick it up?

My money is on a Christmas blood test though grin.

maddyone Fri 14-Jul-23 23:35:33

Yep Doodle it’ll all come out in the wash, as they say. Something will happen in the pregnancy or the baby will need NICU when it’s born and somehow it will be discovered that the baby cannot be Adam’s. Oh dear. Be sure your sins will find you out, or so my grandmother said blushgrin

How did one woman on her own overpower Toyah, tie her up, drag her downstairs and put her in the back of a van ??

Calendargirl Sat 15-Jul-23 07:10:21

How come Craigy, (I assume he’s still just a PC?), happen to be in on what was going on, get involved with a highly dangerous secretive undercover operation grin, ring the station to help sort things out……

Oh, I forgot, he was on secondment to the CID, say no more.

Yes, did no one notice Toyah being dragged from the flat into the back of the van?

Spider’s acting skills could do with a bit of work, he always looks and sounds half asleep.

We don’t see Sarah kissing the top of his head like he does to her.

Calendargirl Sat 15-Jul-23 10:06:28

Who was looking after the quads when Chesney and Gemma nipped out to the Rovers?

No mention of where they were, or who was babysitting, or perhaps I missed that.

Aveline Sat 15-Jul-23 10:14:47

I wondered that too Calendargirl. Maybe Bernie?

vegansrock Sat 15-Jul-23 12:22:22

Would Beth really be in a relationship with the gormless Kirky?
